@heruluingul: where did you get it? ??? i've been looking for one
I actually got it from a friend in disc-form. I can't give you a link or anything cause I don't know where he got it. I do know that it was a combination of a No-CD crack exe file plus a keygen. I need to reinstall mine cause the keygen gave me a key that had been taken.

Sorry for double post
I found that Isohunt is hosting a torrent of 2142, cracked, with working multiplayer. I am downloading now, I'll see if it's any good. Unfortunately, it's 3.28Gb, so I'll get back to you on this in a few days.
EDIT: Ok, I looked into it further on ThePirateBay, and the multiplayer is LAN only. I'll continue my nefarious work to find a good torrent.

There is a cracked version of 2142 out there that does work on multiplayer online, coz my bro and me both run it. only prob is you have to find a room that isnt runnning punk buster, bu theres not many of them, so we mainly play lan, we have 3 people living here and between us we have 8 computers so we can have fun lan games. All i know is my bro got the game off Torrent Reactor, and the install was a " replace the exe, with this one" and a keygen.
LONG LIVE THE NOOBS, THEY WILL OVER THROW US WITH THERE VASTLY SUPERIOR STUPIDITY.

Halo 1 is actually surprisingly demanding on a system. The Battlefield series takes WAY less resources. Minimum specs for BF2 (copied from website):
=======================================
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
* Windows XP (32-bit) with Admin rights
* 1.7 GHz Intel Celeron D / Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP/ Sempron or greater
* 512 MB of RAM or more
* 8x or faster CD/DVD drive
* 2.3 GB free hard drive space or more
* Video: DirectX 9.0c compatible (see video)
* Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible (Sound Blaster X-Fi series recommended )
VIDEO
Video card must have 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets:
* NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater
* ATI Radeon 8500 or greater
=======================================
These requirements aren't actually accurate when you load the game, as I have run it with laptop motherboard graphics. And Celerons are complete ****, so if it runs on a Celeron it runs on almost anything remotely current. The requirements for 2142 are not much higher that 2.

I played lots of BF 1942/2/DC in the past few years, but have no desire to play 2142. I'm going to be trying out Armed Assault soon. Lots of good FPSs coming out later this year.
