need help with this:

If you have shell access to your account, you may want to upload the entire phpBB 2.0 archive (in binary mode!) to a directory on your host and unzip it there. If you do not have shell access or do not wish to use it, you will need to decompress the phpBB 2.0 archive to a local directory on your system. From there you must FTP all the files it contains (being sure to retain the directory structure) to your host.

How do I upload phpBB to my host. It's very confusing, but then again this guide seems more like the people are trying to be smart then to try and be helpful. They worded something very simple to sound complicated and hard.

Open up your web shell, upload the phpBB zip and then decompress it. You also need to install it after you do that.
You also require a MYSQL database to be available on your hoster, check the plan you have to see if you have this.

If you get stuck then describe where you get stuck.

I have successfully set up a phpBB board before.

Log on to your hosting account, look around a bit, and you should find it.

"Registration opens at random times of day. This is intentional.
Currently it's closed.
So you'll need to keep checking back often if you want in."

Here's a few more that I found real quick. Don't have an opinion on any of them though: http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-mysql-database.php
