Exactly. And that's whats so shocking, is that everyone claimed to hate him and called him pedo and whatever, but as soon as he dies, people just drop it and embrace what really mattered about his life. His music.

True, Only people who lived in the 80's and few people today know the "real" Michael Jackson. I always thought the Jackson 5 sounded very similar to The Osmonds

I never bought into the Child Molestation accusations; It just seemed like people were going after that because he was rich and different.

With that being said, people die all the time. Sure, it's unfortunate when someone drops, but it's far more reasonable to remember them for what they were, minus all the phony tears.

He left a legacy and had some unfortunate later years, but in time he will be nothing more than a pedophile joke on the Internet. That, my friends, is the real sadness.

I really don't understand what you're saying about the molestation stuff, I guess it's an american pop culture thing or something, since the charges were dropped I don't think anyone ever mentions it. When people mention Michael Jackson, the real issue was always about the surgeries, I think, at least in here. But his music was never forgotten.

Heh, maybe our Media is more blood hungry than yours. Sure, the cosmetic surgery was a talking point, but the majority of what you would hear had to do with the Molestation charges. In America, the Justice System may let you off, but don't count on the Media doing the same -- once they declare you guilty, you might as well be.

I just wanted to say two things. I'm not a fan of MJ as a norm, but after looking him up as far as music career to see what the fuss was about I was shocked.

13 Grammy's
and at 65m copies sold the largest selling album on a worldwide scale, the most EVER in music history.

13 Grammy's puts him just behind acts like U2 and Stevie Wonder with 22, and in a case above a lot of others. The largest selling album of all time is something too. In my opinion if I was Michael Jackson and someone was hating on me, I'd say you win a Grammy yet? Then I'd let 'em know that about my 65m records sold and tell em to bite me. Again not a fan, but you can't say crap about his music if you haven't done better, its not like we're talking about like Blondie, or Werid Al and debating their musical importance lmao.

OMG OMG OMG moment please read on......

I was watching a news channel and they were playing a Jackson song while doing a report on him. The song was "Dirty Diana", and I started singing "Mother" by Danzig. I paused the Tivo, and pulled out the rhythm track of "Mother" on GH2. If your not sitting you should, cause as far as I can tell, the syth piano beatline for that Jackson song, is more or less the same as "Mother". See for self...........stock up on supplies the end is near ppl :tongue2:

I was just saying having known nothing about him other than the Jacko kid stuff, I was shocked, and that would be my general reply to haters esp., those you seem bent on the bad stuff. lmao.

I was more shocked that Danzig used a Jackson bass line in a song that is his iconic song for better or worse.

Because of his death, the covers that FoB and AAF have done of is songs should be erased forever. They're just kind of insulting.

Yes, because it is so insulting when another band shows their respect and commemorates another artists' influence by covering one of their songs.

Yes. That makes perfect sense.

A tribute to Micheal Jackson is on Vh1 Classic.
playing some music videos now.

it's good that bands make covers, and even Weird al's parodies show how influential Micheal jackson was.

The AAF cover isn't half bad.

I just find sad the fact that he died being something he wasn't. I just wonder why would he wanted to change his color and face. :/
I think he was a pretty good looking person when he was black, I don't understand it.
