Where's Warcraft!?!?! [/sarcasm]
No, I chose GH because it is such an original idea.
I mean before it, we had what? Just game controllers, and a joystick here and there.
But, then it just changed completely when GH came out and there were Guitar Controllers.
Just because it's based off a guitar doesn't mean it isnt original. I wanna how someone thought of Guitar Hero.
Well, it was a very good idea.
While Mario and Halo and others have had their peaks and been extremely popular. I believe that Guitar Hero is also at its peak right now, and that it will last a lot longer than anything else on that list. Not to just be remembered, but that people will still be playing it.

E.T. was one of the worst games ever made.I have "played" it.Much like the crappy "adventure" games for the 2600 this wasn't groundbreaking...it was crap.Atari may have had one of the biggest video game franchises ever but its history and a lot of its games suffer because of the same reason we suffer with some franchises now (Doom 3 would be a good example of this).
They know you'll buy whatever crap they put out.
Which is why companies such as Activision (back in the day before they screwed millions of their own customers with the PS3 Rock Band fiasco) and Imagic not only buried Atari but damn near the whole video game industry in '83-'84.
If that chubby plumber hadn't showed up in the mid '80s to save us we might not be playing video games today.
I'm still trying to figure out the appeal of E.T. in the first place. That thing is not only uglier than my first ex wife it's uglier than my future mother in law.
