Of course everyone knows this. He left Dream Theater for A7X after The Rev died. Since Mike Portnoy was The Rev's idol. Great Choice. Dream Theater I think is crap compared to A7X

Mike PARTNERED with A7X JUST to finish up Nightmare if I remember correctly. It's his life, let him do what wants. It's like anything else. You make decisions everyday, opening a new chapter in your life. Not everyone may agree with it. This is the decision he made. Wether you like it or not, it's final and it's time to move on.

Why can't everyone just be happy that he got some balls to do what he wanted, no, what he needed, and move on? If he left DT, the band he made and where he dedicated all his talent for all these years it's obviously because he could not be there anymore. He chose to move on and do something he wanted. I can't see why anyone would have a problem with this...

Haha, okay he's certainly not the worst out there, but I've watched him talk down to fans (for a VERY stupid reason I might add).

Also watch some of Rudess's vids on youtube. There's more than a few that show him being the typical "I'm a master musician and am obviously better than all of you"

I think the only time he's not over inflated is when he plays with Transatlantic and that's because he's in a room of other musicians who have come to embody their instruments as well so it keeps him humble.
