Just finished Assassin's Creed.
Too short, I guess. Maybe it's an effect of comparison between it and GTA4 or maybe it's the fact that my computer can handle Assassin's Creed much better than GTA4.
Or maybe it's because I played on Easy.

I had finished it with someone last year! And I don't know the difficulty....

Just finished the epic game by Uwe Boll, Tunnel Rats.

Have a review, wrote if after 2 first missions (there are 8 in the game, about 20 minutes each).

Spoiler:I'm sure most of you haven't heard of the game Tunnel Rats, which is based on the Uwe Boll movie carrying the same name. If you don't know who Uwe is, check some of his films like Alone in the Dark or House of the Dead. Quality wise, Tunnel Rats is down there with the movies. Tunnel Rats takes place in the Vietnam, War where your objective is to crawl in underground tunnels and blow stuff up. At least the idea has a tiny bit of originality in it.
The first thing you notice when you start the game, is that you can't use mouse to navigate in menus. Not promising, but I can live with that. When starting a new campaign, the game gives you only two options for difficulty, easy and hard. Now that's just brilliant, if you wish to play on normal difficulty. After starting the game it's also impossible to change graphic settings since they can only be adjusted from the game's launcher. I fail to see the point in that.
Don't imagine playing Tunnel Rats with high graphic settings unless you have a high-end computer. I was unable to see how the game looks with everything set to max as my computer couldn't handle it. The lowest settings don't promise good. With 800x600 resolution and everything set to near zero, the game looked like it was five years old, yet I still only got about 20 frames per second while above ground. The only graphical "effect" I could enjoy was blood, which looked more like sand or pieces of wood flying off people. There's also an option to turn off violent content, in case you prefer no blood over yellowish blood. But hey, the gameplay can't be much worse than that, right?
Oh, yes it can. The maps are filled with insta-kill traps such as tripwires with grenades, trapdoors that lead to a spiky death and my personal favorites, live snakes on sticks. The trapdoors are a real pain in the ass. Like in most fps-games, you keep looking what's ahead of you, not what's in your feet. It's easy to see how that leads to many, many stupid deaths. The traps wouldn't be a major problem if there was a quicksave, but no, Tunnel Rats is so hardcore it uses a checkpoint system. There's a good amount of checkpoints, but it didn't stop me from having to memorise trap locations.
Level design supports the traps quite well. It doesn't matter if you're in a small tunnel or in an open jungle are, they both are similar pipes. Sometimes the pipe might be a tiby bit wider or spread into a few directions, but it still is only a pipe. An excellent decision from the level designers not to make the jungle an open area, but make it a maze of bushes and traps.
Then there are the weapons. The first weapon you get is the knife, which is probably the best weapon in the game as it can kill an enemy with a singl hit. The firearms are extremely underpowered, only headshots seemed to be doing anything. In the ending stats of the first level, I had 34 kills, of which 27 were headshots and three were done with the knife. Grenades are even worse, I was only able to throw one when I tried to throw everything I had. Not like it would have mattered, the one nade didn't explode anyway. Good thing the AI is stupid, otherwise the gunfights would be difficult as hell.
The main character is down right annoying. His only meaningful thoughts seem to be "God loves USA, it's good to be American" and "Gotta kill some commie bastards". Sometimes he talks to himself about things like home and his wife and other uninteresting things. He must be at least slightly insane, during the monologues it sometimes looks like he was hallusinating and overall, it seems like a great idea to talk to yourself while trying to sneak up on some enemies.
Is Tunnel Rats worth the $20 it costs on Steam? No, it's not even worth $2. The graphics are terrible, the weapons are underpowered, the AI can't think, the traps are unfair and the main character deserves to get shot. Unless you're a masochist, stay away from this so called game.

Oh yeah, forgot to post one pic from Tunnel Rats:

That's an instakill trapdoor. I must have stepped into all of the ones like that during the last missions.

The Last Game I've beaten was Actually GHIII on Hard. (Didnt even have to get to Vic Solo R(I believe))
The Last non-music Game was Mirror's Edge.
Awesome, but too short.

And night steals the morning away
Forever and a day
I will stay, I will stay here with you my love

Does winning the Stanley Cup in NHL count as beating it?

Pretty much what I thought. Except that fighting was quite fun, once I forced myself not to use the broken counter-attack system. Plus it lacks stealth.

Just clocked Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. Only took about 5 hours to get through it but it's very enjoyable.

Or maybe it's because I played on Easy.

But there's no Difficulty selection window, at least not in 360 version :/

GH: Smash Hits.

Freakin' TTFAF was easy this time around. >_> At least the GH3 one needed skill to pass it (which I could do consistently).
PM me for my Wii or DS Friend Codes.

http://www.fretsonfire.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=38434 My Wii GH:WT Guitar and Drum GlovePIE script. Also supports GH3 guitars!
Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.
