Hello,
I've made Rock Band 2 Theme 1.2 for Frets on Fire MFH-Alarian Mod v2.963.
Download Link (Rapidshare; 69,2 MB) - updated Aug. 18, 2008
Mirror Link (Mediafire; 69,2 MB) - updated Aug. 18, 2008
Download Link for Mac OS / Linux users (WinRAR archive) (Rapidshare; 69,9 MB) - updated Aug. 18, 2008
Download Link for Light Version* (WinZIP archive) (Mediafire; 17,4 MB) - updated Aug. 21, 2008
* Light Version has only 1 original main menu screen, 1 main menu song and 1 background stage
Additional Main Menu Music:
1. DesertDiamond Pack ("Hungry Like The Wolf", "So Whatcha Want" and "Float On") -> http://www.mediafire.com/?ky4qjubs1am
2. My Pack ("Girls Not Grey" by AFI, "Get Clean" by Anarchy Club) -> http://www.mediafire.com/?qynkzgtzkuk
Feel free to make mirror links to other sites
Changes 1.1 - 1.2:
* Now fully compatible with MFH-Alarian v2.963
* Made minor changes in almost every menu screen
* Repositioned sub-menus (now they fit perfectly)
* New text colors in game menu
* Completely new Instrument and Difficulty Select screen (mostly made by death_au)
* Alternate MainBG.png with scorpion - for those who are bored of the blue bird main menu (rename MainBG2.pgn to MainBG.png, MainText2.png to MainText.png in \Menu folder and rename theme2.ini to theme.ini in the theme folder; make backups of original files)
* 12 new main menu songs with ambience (made by DesertDiamond)
* GUI: new long note and killswitch tails from RbMFH theme
* GUI: new score background
* GUI: new notes streak background
* GUI: new lyrics arrow
* GUI: new instruments' arrows on Rock Meter
After that release I will be waiting for more HQ images from Rock Band 2 to arrive because I used almost everything I had. I can make one more little fix (like 1.25) but that's it, then I have nothing.
Since the game has not been released yet (Release date of Rock Band 2 for Xbox360 is September 2008), no one really knows how the main menu will look like. I've made my version using only HQ images taken from official site.
Also this is my first mod/theme/addition to Frets on Fire.
The gameplay part in RB2 is mostly identical to the one in RB1, so I used the one from RbMFH Theme entirely.
Features:
* Easy-to-use Installer (just point it to your Frets on Fire folder)
* Completely new menu (Main Menu, Song Select, Settings, Difficuty, Results, Pause, Loading and other minor)
* x14 Rock Band 2 Background Stages in high resolution
* x13 Rock Band 2 Main Menu Song
* Multiple Rock Band 2 loading pharses (mostly facts about the game)

Especially since know one even knows what Rock Band 2 will really look like!
Definitely gonna be one of my defaults!
well from what we've seen, the HUD in RB2 is almost identical to that of 1. this was also true with GH1 to 2. graphically they almost looked the same. i'm just curious as to what they've changed in RB2. in the meantime, like i said before, i'll definitely be playing with this theme more often.

You know it is weird that i said that we don't really even know what it looks like when I just remembered reading an eight page article about it in game informer that had screen shots and whatnot! haha

I've already found some HQ screenshots featuring various game menus (unfortunately, not the main menu) which are totally awesome. I will start making an update of this theme right away.
Also I'll look into making RB2 necks and modifying the HUD.
