this looks like an awesome mod! I am thiking of downloading it, but I have a problem.
Being the "not very technologically savvy" type, I have no idea which version of Frets on Fire I have! I noted some discussion earlier in the thread about the "earlier version" of frets on fire being better than version 1.2.XXX (current version is 1.2.451).
I suppose this may be the wrong forum for asking, but my query pertains directly to the topic: how do I know which version I have (Or which version I need) so I can pick which one to download?
To bring this post back onto the real discussion here, I can only offer my deepest praise to the designer (from brazil!) and his excellent work. I think we all admire this mod, and are "hanging on the edge of our seats" in anticipation of more.
lastly, I apologise for the non-sequiter of a post I have here. If there is a guide or a post dealing with the differences between the versions, and making other such technical details known, please let me know. I hope I don't get in trouble for this, because I have offered a much better in-depth desacription of praise than many other posts, and only a part of my post was a deviation from the discussion. but I ramble.
good day!

The newest version of Frets On Fire has a drum set and stage lights in the background of the playing screen, or at least, by default. The earlier version, 1.1.xxx, has two flame pictures that shake around every 10 note streak you make.

I see. I have all that disabled anyway.
Once I got a chance to try out this mod, I really liked it. The intro music (is that new?), the only part I had to get used to was the all-blue notes. I really like how the speakers "shake" with the beat and the thing on the back goes with the notes hit or however it's done, it's great.
way to go!
Oh, and I figured out I have the "new" version of FoF, so I'll just re-backup my songs and re-download that "starter kit" that's supposed to have all I need. so thanks or whatever, I'll be okay. =P
Once again, I'm anticipating any other mods this good!

Hey Salomao, I downloaded the convert for v.1.1, but could you post the hexadecimal codes for fret_0 through fret_4? Thanks man, and keep up the good work.

By the way, here's the menu.ogg I use. It's more related to ice than the default. It has a cold, Christmas-like theme: Desert of Ice.ogg
