I recompiled the universal binaries using a patched version of py-vorbis to get rid of some errors:
Frets on Fire 1.2.451
Frets on Fire with RF-mod 4
Frets on Fire with Ultimate Coffee Mod 2
Frets on Fire with Hering Mod 1.99a

Below are the links of the files I originally compiled.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the links of the versions of Frets on Fire I have compiled for Macs:

Check the Alarian Mod thread for the latest Alarian Mod versions.

Frets on Fire with RF-mod 4 (Universal)
Frets on Fire with Ultimate Coffee Mod 2 (Universal)
Note: These files should work for everyone.

Frets on Fire with RF-mod 4 (Intel)
Frets on Fire with Ulitmate Coffee Mod 2 (Intel)
Note: These files don't work on PPC Macs.

Frets on Fire with RF-mod 4 for Intel Macs with Leopard only
Frets on Fire with Ultimate Coffee Mod 2 for Intel Macs with Leopard only
Note: The Leopard files are only good for intel macs running Leopard. If you do not have an intel mac, please use the "universal" files.

Frets on Fire with Hering Mod 1.99a

Frets on Fire 1.2.451

The RF mod doesn't work. It says the same error that someone else (I forget who) had. The one about not being able to run Python application from paths containing a '/' (or ':' in Terminal) Do you have any idea what's causing that?

The disk image for the Ultimate Coffe mod appears to be corrupt. When I try to open it it just says the disk is not recognized. I tried disk first aid and that doesn't work either. Could you just upload a zip or rar file?

EDIT: Also what processor and OS are you using?

I'll upload rars later tonight, but if RF-mod didn't work for you, then I doubt Ultimate Coffee will work. I don't know what could be wrong with the files. Maybe it's a problem with opengl? I don't know how to troubleshoot it since it works on my laptop.

I'm running leopard 10.5.2 on an intel macbook.

These files probably will only work for people running Leopard. I've been doing some research and Pyobjc is very specific to the OS version. These files were compiled with Pyobjc 2.0, which is only compatible with Leopard. Tiger used Pyobjc 1.4, and I don't think there is a way for me to install that version on Leopard. But if someone could build these apps on Tiger, it should work on Leopard systems.

I don't know if these files work for others running on Leopard, but there isn't any point in me trying to make these universal.

Damn. Do you know anyone who has a Tiger mac and python expierience? Because I'd really like to get these working. How to difficult is it to compile the apps for Tiger. Because if you'd be willing to teach me I might do it myself.

I don't know anyone with Tiger. The hard part is getting the dependencies all installed. I would use macports and install everything with "+universal macosx_deployment_target=10.4". Even then, some of the dependencies have build errors, so you have to manually edit the CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS in the Makefiles. Once all the dependencies are installed though, compiling the code is really simple. I can try to explain everything better if you want to give it a shot.

System Version: Mac OS X 10.4.11 (8S165)
Kernel Version: Darwin 8.11.0

this is my mac's software.

i'm not sure if Darwin is the system name like leopard, but my system version is pretty high.

i am also not sure if this will work, but i'll give it a shot.

I might have been able to get pyobjc 1.4 installed correctly.

I wonder if this is the problem:

I'll give it a try as soon as I get a chance.

You mean try the thing the guy mentioned in the last post? Another option would be downloading tiger.
