Ok I need a little help.
As you can probably tell I'm new to this, and I can't get this to work.
Here's what I did:
1) Downloaded 1.1.324 version
2) Downloaded this mod
3) Ran this mod's exe file
4) Configured it, i.e. mapped the keys on my guitar
5) Now it crashes when I click "play game"
What am I doing wrong?
T.i.a.

i was having a similar problem when i d/l'd this particular version. what i did (it seemed to have corrected it.) is i created a folder titled "GH3FOF" and then stuck evrything from the .rar into that folder then i stuck that folder in my profile-specific folder (i.e. if ur using the profile on ur comp named "Fred" you should have a folder in ur comp that is also entitled "Fred" that will have folders such as "My Pictures" in it). that seemed to fix it right up. also, make sure you have ur songs folder in there. so basically what i did was isolated this from the rest of my comp and it worked fine. also, dont make a shortcut.

@XxShReDDeRxX,
Sheeeeesh. You take the songs you have (Subfolder for each song, containing multiple required song files for each song.), and copy them into the FoF\data\songs\(-=copy here song folders=-).
If you DON'T have songs of course, look in other places in the forums, you can find plenty.
@wweecw2nick
As Ateshu said, it's self-contained. It's the 1st thing mentioned on the front page explaining what it is---
Surprises me how many other similar posts i've seen on this, as clear as it's printed.

worldrave wrote:This is a complete mod (Total conversion), zip file with everything (As in a COMPLETE whole package, standalone) but WITHOUT the songs, for obvious reasons (those are obtainable in the normal area.) I decided to do it as a standalone version to make sure NO ONE has problems getting it working right, if ran it as is.

Q: How do I add songs into FoF?
A: Download a track, this will usually be in *.rar format
Extract the *.rar file, and almost always, the files song.ogg, guitar.ogg, song.ini and notes.mid will be in a folder. If this is not the case then put them in a folder.
Place this folder inside the FretsOnFire/data/songs/ folder and your song will now appear in your song list.
---
Q: How do I extract folders in .zip or .rar format?
A: A good program to extract those files is winrar which you can find here
http://www.win-rar.com/

Delete some of your posts because it seems like those problems have been solved. This is for frets on fire version 1.1.3. The last one on this page.
