Failing for RF-mod 4 - Hering mod finally ported to 1.2
This topic is 15 years and 10 months old. Instead of replying, please begin a new topic, or search for another related topic that may be more suitable.
NOTE: THIS HAS BEEN FULLY SUPERSEDED BY ALARIAN'S MOD.
This will remain here for archival purposes only.
I've ported a few features from the Hering mod (actually from Karsus's Compilation Mod) to RF-mod 4.15.
Download link: http://rapidshare.com/files/92049178/DLV_Compilation_Mod_1.1.zip.html
This mod combines the best features of h3r1n6's mod with the stability, speed, and ease of customization of RF-mod 4.15 (not to mention the improved HOPO mechanics). It should work with all other current mods for RF-mod 4.15 (that occur in the mod folder only and do not require modifying library.zip).
Features added:
Failing
Rock meter
Jurgen power
Customizable Jurgen power color with theme.ini
Guitar Hero difficulty names options
Features not ported from Hering Mod:
Drum support
Support for third-party rock meters
Everything else
Features not tested:
Multiplayer
This mod is complete for my use. I don't use failing on multiplayer, or any of the other features of h3r1n6's mod, so I will not add them. Feel free to customize and improve as you will.

Fixed in v1.1
Song damaging bug

You could try porting it yourself (and probably be successful). It took me only a few hours to do this, and I've never done anything in python before. It should be even easier to port this to linux, since the hering mod changes only call variables within the program.
I've included the source, so if you diff them and rf-mod's source, the changes I've made should be obvious.

Most likely we'll have to wait for hering to make his official version for the drum support and the rest of his features. I'm still gonna stick it out and wait for his version. I think I'm the only person who uses his song queue and I just couldn't live without it. :p
Great job though, maybe now hering will feel the need to push forward. Although he's most likely waiting to do it on 1.3

Life would be so much easier if we just had the damn source code.

do jurgen notes are different?
if they are, which file is it? i want the stars notes from blazing gamer!
EDIT: downloaded and tested. IT ROCKS! but:
1-the jurgen meter. how about the little balls were stars? the same for failing meter. they could be skulls.
2-you cant tell which notes will give you jurgen power. how about a jurgennote.dae?
