1. Here are lyrics for Heat of the Moment & Hold on Loosely (more to come).

http://rapidshare.com/files/46992929/lyrics.rar

As usual, with lyrics (need the lyrics mod) rename each txt file "script.txt" and place in the songs in their respective folder.

2. If you would like to play these 80s songs using the HO/POs guitar hero uses, change to the following (Tested on the R.F 3.5 verson):

Only a lad - 115.5001155
Play with me - 130.00013
Police truck - 125.0
Turning Japanese - 115.5001155
Wrathchild - 94.0001284668 (not sure if I actually change it)

Yeah, finally someone is doing some lyrics! Thanks for that!

Sync is fine for both, and the only very minor mistakes I've noticed are the line "Heat of the moment 2x" and some repeated lines "If you cling to tightly". Go on with your good work!

PS: "Wrathchild"'s original BPM is 94.0... in FOF editor, so you did not change that one.

Awesome! I can play Play With Me and Police Truck like they were supposed to be played!

EDIT: Nvm, I got it!

BTW, if you change the BPM using the FoF editor, you will lose any bass/rhythm /coop tracks.

The FoF editor does not know how to save them

Hey, I'll probably survive it ;)!

I'd be glad you made some lyrics (virtually as the first one) even if you would have made some serious mistakes.

Why are you guys changing the BPM on the songs? They're ripped with variable BPMs that the game supports and will give you the correct HO/POs...

Songs don't just have one BPM in most cases.

I only changed some of my songs because they needed to be fixed for Guitar Zero, and that was the only way.

RF's hopos are very close to the real thing, the only reason some songs don't work properly is because certain songs have an individual hopo threshold (such as thunderhorse or raw dog) - more info. Guitar hero uses the individual hopo threshold when needed instead of the generic one because it is hardcoded like that. RF's frets on fire always uses the same hopo threshold for all the songs, which is why songs like thunderhorse don't have the correct hopos. Now I don't know about the songs in gh 80s, but it is possible some of them use an individual hopo threshold too.
My mod (for fof version 1.2.451):

Latest release (5.23), there's a readme in there to install & stuff (source code included).

regardless, Play with Me and Caught in a mosh are no where near the HO/PO setup they need to be. These changes fix that and make the song more playable. It's just an option for those who want a more guitar hero type gameplay.

I rudimentarily playtested the two new lyrics files and found no problems with them, so thanks again!

And then, after the discussion here, I also tried your BPM changes, at least for "Play With Me". It's true, with 130 BPM it's really a lot easier, I improved in first try from ~ 80,000 to ~ 120,000 points on Easy, with 1.2.451 HOPOs, and easily played 98% while I wasn't able to 5-star it before.
I'll stick to this tempo, as long as FoF doesn't support that individual hopo threshold feature.
