Seems some people are having trouble downloading the base mod from rapidshare... I'm creating a base version with just the GH3 theme and uploading it to mediafire. I'll post a link when it's finished, it'll probably be a little bit. But at least I can be doing that while I work on something else

About the loading screen hang, it has something to do with the rotate stage function. If I select Stages: Default, and Rotate Stages: No, FoF hangs on the loading screen. Most other, if not all, combinations seem to work. Random stages work, as does a Blank stage. Just this particular combination, which unfortunately is the one I prefer, doesn't.
The loading screen appears, but doesn't go away again, not even after 10 minutes. Also, FoF uses 100% CPU time. And the way the log is cut off isn't an error, that's what it looks like.

yeah I also had loading hang bug... It happened every time I tried to disable bg rotating. What I did is I left it on and deleted all stages excvept default:D

PS. I would like to get gold starts when I nail the song in rb theme, but I get green stars LOL. I tried to find the stars image and paint it but I cant find it, where is it?
Also, in rb you don't have to have 100% to get gold star, but here you do. Does anyone know whats the calculation for it?
For some time the main screen of rockband was bothering me (had glitches all over the place if you turn up brithness and pay attention) so I finally fixed it in photoshop, here is the linky

Just Finished the remade GH3 Pause and Options/Finished screens reconstructed from the ripped GH3 graphics. The code will need to be changed to line up the text still. Also i'm in the process of grabbing the real GH3 text fonts so it will look much more perfect.
the screens are pixel-perfect except the flying rabbit and flame, those images using AS-IS didn't seem to perfectly line up with the GH3 screenshot, so GH3 must change that photo on the fly in game, so i manually had to change the dimensions til it matched the screenshot. I do have the originals and will futher work on it til I check some things and perfect it. I'm also thinking of taking another screenshot in 4x3 mode to check though, instead of the 16x9's one.

If i use animated starnotes on the linux version 2.6b 0r 2.6c the game wont play and the loading screen doesnt show if i turn it to static it plays fine this is the error i get.

now that ithink about it it might be a maximux texture size problem i will test.
If i delete the starnotes.png it doesnt cause the error it just has a missing texture problem.
also i had to add the talis folder to the GH3 theme folder, or the game would crash with missing texture problem, i got that from the windows version
I am using alarian 2.6 ,with hotfix 17 and 2.6c update.
also 2.6c compared to 2.6b doesnt have the rotating backgrounds which i really like or are the settings for it changed now to start it?

Yeah i just tested reduceing the size of the texture StarNotes.png and the game works as expected there is a maximux texture size on some graphics cards i think mine is 2048.
I dont know if it looks right reducing the size i will have to play the game to test that however it fixes the bug im having.

Instructions: Just unzip the hotfix into your Alarian main folder (where FretsOnFire.exe and the data folder reside). It will replace your fretsonfire.ini with a fresh one (back up yours if you want to refer to old settings) and various files in the Alarian\data folder.
If anyone finds problematic note patterns with the after-chord HOPOs, please confirm by performing multiple tests with the various HOPO options, and then create a blank / silent song containing just the problematic pattern and send it to me to use for debugging. Please ensure that your test song exhibits the same problem, if not you need to include more surrounding notes.
Remember, my hotfixes are cumulative - the latest fix contains all previous fixes unless otherwise noted.

Any chance for a more "GH3" like perspective on the fretboard? GH/RB perspective is a bit to low, and FoF is a bit to high, and I don't exactly know what "custom" is <.<
