No. I never said anything about that. This is hearsay and conjecture, I say. Hearsay!

(also confused)

edit: BlackJack, your ninja posting skills leave my response somewhat untimely. :)

No i remember MFH said something about testing a new hopo system and planning to release it in the next update, in which it never was in the next update so you would think the next big thing would be a new hopo system.

oh well, hope Ver 3 is sick

I'm quite satisfied with the GH2 systems I've created. I achieved what I set out to do. GH3 has manually placed HOPOs, which I do not care to look into.

I think he may be talking about when you were creating the new GH2 HOPO system that merged GH2 sloppy and strict.
but that was a while ago.

BlackJack, here's my GH1 Take it off songfolder; I don't have time to play the songs and really listen right now but if you get a chance let me know if mine's the same.

GH1 - Take it off

Doesn't matter, anyway - that feature is already done.

Yep, your song is part of the bad ones : there is an audible click at the end of song.ogg and guitar.ogg.
I'll record a video in my sound editor and in FoF.
Than != Then. It's != Its. Of != Have. Your != You're. Their != There != They're.

My 2¢ on the clicks clicks. I ran some amplitude statistics tests with Adobe Audition on many GH1-2 songs and most if not all have an unacceptable amount of clipped samples.

Clipped samples are causing clicks, pops and distortion and should be avoided at all cost. In fact, the first thing you learn in audio is to avoid clipped samples and it seems that this was overlooked when songs were ripped off the first time.

Here's an example of how many clipped samples were found in these songs (only guitar.ogg was tested, it's even worst in song.ogg):

- Bark at the Moon: 153
- Freebird: 263
- I love rock and roll: 248
- Jessica: 67
- Infected: 603 (!)
- Jordan: 302
- Sharp Dressed Man: 63
- War Pigs: 2367 (ouch my ears!)

Conclusion: Don't bother with these clicks sounds.

myfingershurt wrote:death_au, what's wrong with your oldschool FoF theme? For one, we already have the open.dae and star.dae that Blazingamer created if you're concerned about 3d notes. The whole point of the minimal package was to create a release that was as much like original FoF as possible.... but I'll look at the megalight theme instead.

I understand that those 3D notes already exist, I was just looking at getting ones that still fit with the oldschool theme. In my thread there's been discussions of a star.dae where the coloured part is replaced by the "spot colour" so it's easy to distinguish, but still matches the rest of the notes. Same with the open.dae: I wanted it to match.
I was hoping to have these done and a new version released by the time 3.00 was done. I also thought I'd have a little more luck posting in this thread than my own (more traffic and all that :p)
One thing to note if you're going to include my theme in anything though is I've updated drums notes that aren't yet included in the most recent version. There's now links on the first post to grab them. I should do some rf-mod based ones and post them as well.
Speaking of which, will you include the "mods" that come with my theme (the rf-mod and 1.1.324 styles)? It might cause less confusion if you don't include them (even in the full release), and I'll make separate downloads for them on my thread... Let me know.

Also, I do like the idea of a release that looks like vanilla FoF... It just seemed to make sense to have a stripped-down version for people with slow computers/internet as well. I leave it up to you.

I'm looking for a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith theme to include with the full release; anyone have any suggestions?

++Looking for a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith theme to add to the full release

edit: just gonna use this one unless someone tells me there's a better one I should look at.

Inkk - that's the GH:80's theme I used. I needed GHA. It's OK - I got it.

Happ, I'll take a look.

Ok, It's just a simple mod's folder mod. No additional coding.
