~TO MFH: Maybe is a silly idea, but what about adding a loading progress gif? It would be in a corner of the loading background...

Just to alert the players that it's ACTUALLY loading, and the system is not hanged up hehe

Also, I've had instances where the game hangs an there's music still playing (rare, but still). My point is that even if it hangs, the animation (if it existed) would probably still continue.
@blazingamer - Will you get mad at me if I remind that if you get your 3d note stuff working, to make sure you copy it into the drums code as well? :p
Also, I had a look at the new animated stages option in code, and it looks a lot more difficult than I thought to get it to load stages from the data folder. Have to figure out a way to keep track of whether it's a data one or a theme one between setting it and loading it, as well as simply loading up which folders to show in the options. The code that does that now is surprisingly difficult (but justifiably so)
I'll keep looking at it and see what comes to mind, but probably not going to happen in a hurry.

@BlackJack: Ok i'm getting sick of seeing you guys (translators) getting out of sync and sweet trying to catch changes. I'll attack the translation files generation right after i post the 2.995 GNU/Linux binaries.

@translators;
Please get my up to date messages.pot file to make sure you've got all strings in your file.
The file is autogenerated from the code using xgettext.

It was mentioned a few posts after the one you mentioned that animated .gif's aren't handled yet, so I doubt a rotating CD would be any different.
@Evilynux, nice job on the 2.995 port, I'll download it as soon as my KDE4 upgrades are done. <3
The how to I made has already been updated (see signature). Of course, this is assuming the folder names are still using the same formula.

Check out my Translation Template and Spanish Translation File for FoFiX.
First time poster, long time lurker. I've been following the progress of this mod for a long time now and I'd like to send out my sincerest thanks to all the hard working coders and artists for making this a truly exceptional game that my wife, kids, friends and myself thoroughly enjoy.
I do have an issue, though and I'm hoping someone could help me out. Right now, I'm using (2) wireless guitars and I just picked up the new RB2 wireless drum pads. I'd like to set up (3) players (Channel 1 and Channel 2 for the guitars and Channel 3 for the drums) so we could interchange drums and guitars depending on what we feel like doing. The only way that's worked so far is if I have two separate instances of FOF with separate fretsonfire.ini. One instance keymapped with two guitars and one instance keymapped with one guitar and one drum and both instances linked to my song directory. Unfortunately, we'd have to shut down FOF and instruments and restart everything to swap a guitar for the drum set. Is there an easier workaround than this? Can I keymap for three players? Any help would be appreciated.
Oh, and sorry for the mouthful here.

Maybe you have tried this already, but this might be what you're looking for.
Pick one of the instruments to be your default player-1 controller. The other two will be interchanged for player-2 depending on what you want to use. Use a program like Xpadder or Joy2key to map the buttons for both player-2 controllers to the same set of keyboard keys. Then, in player-2 key settings in FOF, set the keys to whatever you mapped your controllers to. That should work.
