Lol, I'm such a terrible person.

 Give Macs a try. It's just as good as linux, especially for open source software. Only problem is the price...
Now that I think about it, I probably should have gotten a cheaper laptop and put linux on it.

Mac users:
Anyway, here's a Mac patch version of 3.100 beta 3 (3.0XX -> 3.100 beta 3):

Also note that the link on the main FoFiX google page is incorrect now. I had to reupload the file since the original zip had some extra files in it.

MFH: Can you update the FoFiX page when you get a chance?

This Mod is wonderful! I have a request, i would like the game does not recognize the "GH 2 Sloppy" and "Hit Window" as cheat in the next Version, please.

Thank you and sorry for bad english. :2thumbsup:

You want to see a "svn checkout" in the main menu? :P

It would be nice however if there was a "check for updates" and a address to the google code page if the client was lower than latest stable version.

In fact I could code such a feature in Visual Basic, already did for about 5 of my own projects. Includes a simple version check and downloading a ZIP file, which extracts itself overwriting existing files.

FoF is (partyl) cross plattform and I doubt that the commands are the same on linux and mac systems. Also I think that zip and rar archives are out of the question with us having a svn allready set up. There's tags for releases. ;)

Another thing. Jstump, you've done a packaging script. Is that windows exclusive?

Of course this won't be platform independant, but for spreading beta/final releases (Windows) for users that cannot handle the SVN it would be the simpliest solution. Although there might be no need for it... ;)

We've been playing FofiX on Vista with 2 players, using X360 explorer guitar and PS2 rockband drums. Problem is that guitar needs A/V delay around 90 but drums needs it around 160. There's no setting where both drums and guitar are decent. We need a way to tune each one separately. Is there any way to do this now? If not, any chance of it happening at some point?

If someone coded a "Check for Updates" It should only look for stable releases, with checking for beta's as an option.

Why is GH2 Sloppy now cheating?? It's personal preference.

As said it should only be for stable releases, and my argument about downloading from svn still holds true, as long as binaries are built for those and put up on each "tag".

The audio video delay is not meant to fix the delay on the controlelr but the actual audio video delay. I think that the delay is set for the whole scene and that making it render for each individual track would require a lot of work.

I have a hard time seeing a controller having a delay of 70 ms between controllers (well for any controller in general), that's a lot. Is the drums wireless while the guitar is not or something? In any case 70 ms is a lot for any kind of controller. The only thing you can really do is trying to add some delay for the guitar instead, there must be some way to add a delay to input.

Seeing as you can almost just bash your keyboard into the wall with GH2 sloppy it should be considered cheating. I love using gh2 sloppy myself but it's way to.. sloppy. Try to compare it to the difference between GH2 and the GH2 Strict rules, it is way more friendly than any other hopo rules right now.

The only thing I miss is the reversed tapping (easy snakes and of course return of salieri is actually doable with it).
