Patch 963 - Text scaling and font handling
Nice job on text scaling, MFH. It is much more pleasant to look at type now. But there's still a "problem" with any font we use in the game. I don't know if it's a Python limitation or something that has been overlooked but the game does not support kerning pairs. These kerning pairs are stored in the font and are used to get nice looking letter spacing between some letters and punctuations signs like "AW", "AV", "AT", "V,", "W.", etc. You can have up to 2000+ kerning pairs in a font. For example, the Rock Band font made by Worldrave has over 700 kerning pairs although the redesigned letters "AMVW" don't have any.
After hours of hard work to add the missing kerning pairs to Worldrave's font, I discovered that the game does not support them...
So, unless we find a way to "activate" the kerning pairs in a font, all of our fonts will look cheap.

I have some lag too. The keyboard is less responsive when you scroll in the menus. Looks like the CPU usage is 100% all the time.

I suspect this may actually be the fault of the graphic.
When the overdrive meter fills, it does this by revealing the "overdrive_fill" image bit by bit. But for the first bit of the image, it's transparent. And if it wasn't you still wouldn't see it because it's under the "overdrive_top" image.
So for the first few seconds, I suspect it is building up overdrive, it's just not represented in the graphic.
...I could be wrong though

But Jurgen however can break itself free from the you failed limits (you can't play notes after you failed , but jurgen can and comes then back in the game). Sorry if it's already known/reported.
Sorry for quoting my self and repeating what is said but i thought it was important because MFH has already added the boss battle career function to the "to do list"
quote MFH:
-Add Boss Battles to Career mode (with Jurgen at a certain skill level playing the other part, displaying the guitarist name "is here" instead of Jurgen, and you must defeat him to continue)
And not fixing this bug will end in not beating Jurgen. And never beating the career mode of Alarian.

Jurgen is programmed to not be able to fail. It isn't a bug

There's one very small thing that's been bugging me about the Rock Band mod. The actual Rock Band game (on the XBox360 anyway) doesn't display "Overdrive Ready!" or "Guitar Solo!" but as this is not an actual gameplay problem (or really a proclem at all) I wouldn't give a high priority to changing that.
One other thing. When you've played the last note of an OD-gaining phrase, there should be no sound, just the strings lighting up (as in your todo list).
Neither of these are real gameplay issues, just accuracy issues when compared to the real game.
