No problem kawaii -- I just couldn't merge your version without issues while I was in the middle of patching. You've got time to make a new patch based on 2.963 if you'd like. Just try to keep it code-only, and post any graphics changes separately so they're optional.
On the translations, I haven't had time to look at any of that yet or even think about what to do with them.... maybe someone can implement the English translation and function calls into an unofficial patch and when I'm ready to code again I can look at the changes.
Ok me again asking dumb questions but i'm wonder if is possible... i've downloaded the following career song packs: GH 1, 2, 3, AeroSmith and Rockband. Now, when you choose quickplay mode the game show me my songs directory, something like this
songs
|_GH 1
|_GH 2 ...
My question is: Any way to show all the songs together and not splitted by tiers? Obviously only in the quickplay mode where makes sense. Thanks in advance

v2.963
I have tried that version and I can happily confirm that the heavy increase of the start-up time is fixed! Thanks MFH especially for this one!

I have a quick question about the new version. The tier labels were added in a pervious upgrade when using the CD view for song lists. When that version and the next version came out, I was able to see the tier labels without trouble by naming them as mentioned previously (title1.png, title2.png, etc - or whatever the tiers are labeled as in the titles.ini file). With this recent update, I can no longer get the tier labels displayed. Does anyone have any ideas as to what changed?
As a side note: I tried to add a label = title1.png to the title.ini file just as a long shot, and it did not work.

If you go into quickplay, the songs are still set up like career, and it tells you to play to advance
:/
They all tells you to play to advance but they are unlocked. So you can play them anyway

I apologize, I could have sworn that was working before, but I must be mistaken. Anyways, I really appreciate the work you put into this. Your mod blows away any other I have tried by far! Thanks!
Random song(s) starter:
Based on a user request, i've decided to give it a shot for the fun of it.
From that was born this very perl script: fofrnd.pl.
It allows you to play one to many random songs. You can specify songs directory, instrument and difficulty.
Call `./fofrnd.pl --help` for details.
I've tested it under GNU/Linux and I must say it's alot of fun!
This most likely works under MacOSX without any modification, but under MS Windows, errr... It would require some work to make it installation friendly as Perl isn't installed by default.

Erm... that's precisely what I did a few days ago... you should check your PMs more often. :p :;):myfingershurt wrote:maybe someone can implement the English translation and function calls into an unofficial patch and when I'm ready to code again I can look at the changes.
It's not the final version yet (plus, Alexfighter keeps finding new strings to translate everyday

Bugs i noticed (sorry if someone else has mentioned these):
1. when you dont have any starpower and use the whammy--er killswitch (on star notes) it takes 3-5 seconds before your starpower meter begins building
2. when you have full starpower meter and you use killswitch (on star notes) u start filling a second starpower meter (as long as u dont finish the star sequence)
3 & 4. when "two key chords" is enabled and you hit a 3 key chord (e.g. green, red, blue) with 2 keys (e.g. green, blue) some keys (not always the one you didnt press) keep on going (even if u have the "missed notes" option set to keep on going)
