I plan to make these non-career ("bonus") songs show at the bottom of the list instead.

If you rename the bonus folder "~ Bonus ~" or something with the ~ before the letters, it will go to the bottom of the list. For some reason FoF doesn't ignore the ~ at the beginning even though it ignores other characters (!,#,*,^, etc.).

I'm not talking about non-song subfolders in a career folder -- these are libraries, and are ALWAYS supposed to be displayed first in a songlist. I'll have to try naming a subfolder with a tilde and see how that changes the sort logic in a career folder, that's interesting to know.

I've changed the sorting logic for the next patch just so that extra songs in a career folder are displayed after the career titles and songs. Now you can leave extra songs in a career folder and it behaves like a GH songlist.

Pro Face-Off is what it is; qqstars coded it as an extra 2 player mode. I have no plans to change it. I just make sure it's still supported each patch.

Anyway - I have a busy day ahead, and probably won't have any time to work on the next patch until tomorrow.

Is there a problem with song folders holding song folders in 9.5? My Rock Band DLC song folder shows up, and same with one called Tutorials. Yet the Puppetz Hero and GH folders don't show up in the song select. I'm thinking this is because they don't hold any actual songs, but more directories for Tiers. Here's an example of what I mean:

That doesn't show up. Yet this does:

Nooblets, if you read the 1st page. He's says he fixed it. It was never realyla bug, we just put it in there for the hell of it.

I installed ugo's latest installer, and the game doesn't load, and I have to ctrl+alt+delete. In the task manager, there are two FoF's running, but when I end one, they both close. In my %appdata% folder, there was an empty fretsonfire text doc. How can I fix this?

I've tested v2.951 Full Installer again right now on my PC and it runs OK.

I've even installed it to non-default folder.

Also a lot of people have already downloaded this installer and since they don't post any reports, I'm guessing that the problem is caused by your PC.

Try rebooting, reinstalling the game, deleting fretsonfire.ini from game folder, checking for viruses, making sure you got the latest DirectX and Graphics/Motherboard drivers and your fingers crossed.

If that won't help, I don't know what will since the report you posted does not provide any specific info.

MFH, I noticed that the neck select necks, go over the background instead of under. Could you fix this? Posssibly because a lot of themes have an image in the middle of the neck select transparent rectangle.

this career stuff is so great, not just for what it is, but having the entire list on one screen, sorted. thats a real time saver trying to find certain songs.

i realy do hope in the future there will be ways of displaying EVERY song in one long list tho, from every folder. then you can sort on the fly by song or artist. cause right now youve still gotta search through which game a certain song is in, or artist, and many artists are in 3 or 4 of the games. would be great to have them all in one lump when you want.

huh? The neck select menu appears over top of the options menu.... I added a black background behind the neck menu to cover the options background, so that transparent necks will show black behind them.

So... no idea what you're asking for. Screenshot?


Edit: Add a "bonus" or "DLC" folder to a career folder with all the songs you'd like, it'll appear at the top of the list.

Or add extra songs to a career folder (in the next patch) and they will display below all the career songs / titles.

No, the neckselectBG.png. the necks when you go to slect a neck goes over the background, not under like it used to. Like, we can't put a little image over something thats transparent.

jd - ah I gotcha. You're wanting to draw something over a neck on the BG. Sure I'll do that for the next patch.

Not gonna have any time to work on it today or tonight, so 2.955 maybe released tomorrow or the day after (depending on how long it takes me to catch up with all the tasks)
