MFH a little off topic here but if you do decide to invest in a drumset i say wait for either the GH:WT set or the RB2 ones...my original RB ones only last a few weeks.

Can't afford one at the moment, I rarely spend money on my entertainment. I also have seen friends' drumsets that just haven't lasted and the last thing I want to be doing is fixing my $50 drumset :)

I think that the RB2 and GH4 drumsets could be a pain in the ass because of the velocity sensitivity.
But well, i´d love to see more stuff for the drums ;)

I've been thinking about how career mode would work. I haven't tried Hero Fof, so I don't know how they did it. Would we have to have two different copies of our songs in two different directories with different sets of song.ini's? I'm confuses as to how this would work.

Also thought about that, but we´ll see!
Hopefully 2.940 will be done soon ;)

You go to career and that accesses the lines (in the song.ini) needed for songs to be unlocked for career mode. If you go in quickplay, the the game ignores the lines and has them all unlocked by default. You don't need the song more than once in your folder.

Yeah, the plan was to integrate drums just enough so that it worked and was good enough to warrant the separate drum tracks and new Rock Band rip format - this would get me to make a drum set my next purchase, I just haven't been able to justify it yet. Soon, though. I do want a set.

If I could find a cheap used POS MIDI drum set that still works, I'd use that. :)

For now I'm keeping the first post updated whenever I make progress... you can see where I am on 2.940, and what I consider is left to do before release.

So we will need to download all new song.ini's then? Won't that erase our high scores? Do all of the songs have to be in the same directory?

Looks nice, too much white on the bottom of the black buttons though!

Looks pretty crisp besides the M's and the A's. I think the wood grain is a little too bright.

evil-doer, I'll try that now. What font was that, could I get a copy of it?

edit: That looks pretty damn good in-game IMO - I think I have a new favorite:

Hopefully once the career mode in place, you don't have to unlock songs for use in quickplay or multiplayer. I really don't see a point, because I've played a lot, and there some songs that I seriously don't want to play.

EDIT: Also, I already have all of the songs available now, it'll be pointless if I have to unlock them for them to be available again.

PM me for my Wii or DS Friend Codes.

http://www.fretsonfire.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=38434 My Wii GH:WT Guitar and Drum GlovePIE script. Also supports GH3 guitars!
Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.
