Just grab them from Guru3d.com, they always post the newest as instant as they are found out about. I would grab 180.84(rev.c) released today.

What's your card? I'll get it for ya.

LOL it's a nvidia geforce 9600M GT. I finally found it on the hp website (where i bought my lappy) but I'm not sure if they have the latest drivers

The latest driver is not officially out yet. This is your card right? http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_ge ... gt_us.html

@worldrave:180.84 is already out not today. It's December 9 is released officially in the developer zone. Should I get it? Since it still BETA.

@acrox999
Yes get the 180.84beta3's, you'll never get too far if your always waiting for an 'OFFICIAL' driver set, as the beta's 98% of the time are never a problem for a user. Those only come out maybe once every month or more, where as beta's are CONSTANTLY coming out (1-4 every few weeks.) And will do just fine most every time. Do you usually actually wait for official drivers? Gosh!!! I've always used beta drivers since the 1st 3d card on the market came out (Monster 3d, 3DFX) and honestly never had any issues.
@wuxingwarrior3
You really honestly don't see the links on that main site page? Scroll down about 1/4, and see "NEW DOWNLOADS", you'll see 4 Forceware drivers, XP 43bit,XP 64bit,Vista 32bit,and Vista 64bit. This isn't the right place to ask for help for simply grabbing a video driver. Please try to keep unrelated questions elsewhere. Thanks. :smile:

@worldrave: I don't know what to tell you about the graphics question you've asked. I guess it depends on the one who would implement what's required. As for myself, you might have noticed that code-wise i've been pretty much inactive lately. It's mostly due to a conjuncture of events, i hope i'll have more free time soon so i can improve and/or rewrite the implementation of the Font class to improve performance for the python2.5 experimental branch.

Yesterday i received my RB1 drumset. As i came back home around 10:30PM I only had time to assemble it before going to bed. Note that i'm only allowed to test it (to make sure it works properly) before reputting it in the box as officially it's my xmas gift from my girlfriend. In the meantime i'll modify the bass pedal to reinforce it.

@Curious GNU/Linux users: So far it's looking good as the Hardware Abstraction Library (HAL) recognized it when i plugged it in. HAL doesn't seem to bind the device to the xorg-input-joystick driver automatically but that's no biggy as a small modif to the xorg.conf will do the job. Hopefully, this evening i'll be able to test that it works; i'll most probably use either this simple Perl script or this simple C++ application.

this will be usable in all themes, its just rb style.

there are no difficulty ratings for lead and rhythm guitar so that is why they were not put in.

Edit: Random song feature done for quick play mode.

are you sure
because
actualy we have in setlist menu
guitar, press the blue button to change level
press the orange button to change instrument
bass, press the blue button to change level
drums, press the blue button to change level
rhythm, press the blue button to change level
lead, press the blue button to change level

this is why i think
add lead & rhythm is more util than "band" :rolleyes:

That's awesome!
But yeah I agree that rhythm and lead should have difficulty markings as well, or is it allready implemented just not shown?

Also tried the experimental python2.5 branch today and it's gettin really smooth. Is it just I that have a weird loading that basically shows the fretboard as the song is about to start not at the countdown? I've also experienced slow pause menu loading. Other than that it fellt really smooth. :thumbup:

It's not like I dislike sleeping, I really do like it to be honest. It's the whole wake up/go to sleep business I don't like.

And all you do is b*tch about the LEAD AND RYTHM GUITAR!? Where is the ,,Thank you for the awesome job, maybe we don't need rythm and lead guitar either...'' Don't act like that for gods sake! :glare:

i know it is an amzing job
but i just wanted to help
because i think band isn't util (because we can't play in a band and the major part of person never play drums...^^)
but lead and rhythm are more util than it ^^
