Hey,
I am just wondering how hard it is to learn python (I guess it won't be too bad, but I don't really know). I have a basic knowledge of C++ and quite some experience in Java, and I will have lots spare time the next 2 months.

So I think I am going to try stuff like Drums on Fire and/or some kind of career mode, or something else (no I don't think I will implement starpower :) )

Does anyone know a good tutorial or something where someone with knowledge of objectorientation can learn python fast?

Anyone who wants to help me or give ideas is always welcome

Edit: I am serious with that ;)

I saw this on digg this morning. Apparently it'll teach you python in 10 minutes. Not quite sure whether I believe that, but it looks like a good start.
Its just like life. Quite interesting in parts, but no substitute for the real thing.

Exactly what I am looking for, thanks.

This won't really help you when you are starting out from the scratch, but its good in my case.

Python is probably one of the easiest languages to learn; if you know C++/Java then it should be really easy.
The official documentation for python is really good; I recommend the tutorial - it might start off a bit simple, but I still look at it when I forget the answers to the easy questions.
Also, when you're writing python, always keep a python shell running - the in-built help system is very useful for finding out what libraries/functions do, and good for testing out certain snippets of code.

I know Python almost completely, and it took me around 6 months as a 13 year old (last year).

Before Python, I had taken the time to learn C++, Ruby, some Java, and a few other languages.

Python was pretty much the easiest aside from Ruby.

Python in a Nutshell (O'Reiley) is a seriously good book for learning Python.

Drums on Fire is great idea!
