INDIEJAM - The Theme

What is it?

Indie Jam is a 100% custom package for fretsonfire including 45 indie rock songs available in Expert (and hard for some songs) and a new theme based on the name and artists. All songs will also receive a label to use in cd display of FOFiX or standard FOF and an album cover to use in FOFiX's new cd list display, if pics are available. If no pics are available they will receive an IndieJam Label and if they are an Unsigned artist a special IndieJam Unsigned Artist tag added to their pic.

The reason the word Indie is used in the title of the pack is because it's a tag usually given to new bands, so they don't necessarily need to be an Indie band to have their song in this but they have to been fairly new and not uber popular (say 7.5 million plus views on their myspace like dragonforce).

This is the theme for the pack to give you a full graphical and musical experience while playing the pack. You need 3.030 Beta2 or higher with the RB2 theme enabled for it to work properly.

Where is the music pack?

The song pack has not been released yet, but if you want a preview of what songs are going to be in it, you can look at the WIP topic here!

Is there anything special to the theme?

The theme comes with
1) A unique style
2) 3 Menu songs of songs that are going to be in the pack (preview clips only)
3) 3 stages

What does the theme look like?

You can click the image to get a better look at it

Where can I download the theme?

This is probably the best original theme I have seen for this game!

This is the best theme ever. Thanks for making RB2 setlist with GH3 style fretboard! Not to keen on RB style fretboard.

After downloading this theme and playing it, I have to say, it's pretty amazing. However, there are a couple of things that struck out to me...

The overdrive bar is REALLY colourful and bright, this, in my opinion, makes it almost impossible to play while in overdrive.
I'm not too keen on the frets (not the buttons), but that's just personal taste.

Here's a slightly toned down overdrive neck so you can see all the notes while in overdrive.

This is the best theme not based on anything ever!

BlazinGamer is the best graphics artist on this forum. :tongue2:

I has a hotfix!

I loved this mod, but it was a little hard to see when you were using overdrive, when in solos, are both at the same time. I also added some notes by jnuz (that have been formatted correctly for RB, and edited to look well in this mod), and I also added the world tour fret buttons, in case you don't like the black and white ones. However since those things aren't major, I named them
Jnuz-notes.png
and
GHWT-fretbuttons.png

if you want to use them, then name them
notes.png
and
fretbuttons.png

before you put them in your theme folder.

Keep in mind, this is a patch. You need the main file from the first folder for this to work.

Almost forgot! I added that little solo "window" that pops up when a solo starts. I found it was hard to see without that. ;D

DOWNLOAD PATCH

*facepalm*
I forgot to make tone down the overdrive bars. I guess you can just make it grayscale or increase the saturation. I'll include them in another third party hotfix.

As usual, another great looking theme blazin
I put it in the FoFiX theme list under Band/Music themes, as that seemed the most appropriate place for it.

New easier to see notes. Now you can easily see them in solo or overdrive and the hopo is more noticeable.
