Nice work on the progress MFH. It looks like we'll have 3.000 upon us soon. I have a suggestion for optimization of the killswitch animation, but I feel it won't be incorporated into 3.000 with it in this late of a stage..

There is a noticeable lag with the killswitch animations when you play ...And Justice For All by Metallica from the RB DLC, when you hit the super long green-yellow chord near the beginning, before it goes into the main part of the song. If you use the killswitch and have the animation turned on, you can clearly see loads of lag, and there is significantly less lag a few seconds before the end of the tails come into view. Here's a crude diagram showing what I mean:

According to the diagram, there is more lag with killswitch animations when the view is closer to the start of the note than when the view is closer to the end of the note.

I will try to upload a video showing this lag off better than I can explain it...after all, a picture is worth a thousand words, so a 1 minute video at 60 FPS would be worth 3,600,000 words, right? =P

3.000 is frozen, and recompiled & rebuilt I might add... I'm testing and packaging and uploading, and unless I find a major bug in the meantime it should be out tomorrow sometime.

Still, everyone be patient - figure out how to use the beta5 if the waiting isn't acceptable :)

edit: not to mention I know nothing about the animated killswitch tails. That was blazingamer's feature IIRC - he might be able to help.

That sounds great. I can wait for the "public" version, what I have already is usable enough.

With the killswitch tails, I'm just throwing the bug out there. I have finished making a demonstration video. I just need to upload the video for those that can help to see.

Damn...I have updated to beta 5 and the game doesnt loads :( why??? I have erased the .ini and nothing changed... please help me...I wanna play :)

Have you made sure to rename all your folders and file names to lower case?

Edit: And don't forget to rename your "rbMFH" folder to "rock band"

yes...
but after we can make the sounds directly from rb or gh and then we will be only one format, so no need to bother to know the format for the file in the "sounds" folder ..........!

If beta 5 gives you trouble, stick to beta 4 until 3.000 is released. Or, you could follow these vital differences to get beta 5 to work with your themes:

IMPORTANT differences between 2.9xx and 3.0xx that MUST be followed:
=====Filenames and folders are, for the most part, all lowercase now. We needed a common naming convention, it was chaos before with capital letters tossed in wherever.
=====Renamed "crunchX.wav" to "selectX.wav" for clarity (these 3 SFX are randomly played as you change the highlighted item in a menu)
=====Renamed all Guitar screw up sounds from fibaX.wav to guitscwX.wav
=====Renamed all Bass screw up sounds from bfibaX.wav to bassscwX.wav
=====All .wav files have been compressed to .ogg files. We needed a common sound file format, and this reduces space taken (they all load into memory at startup anyway).
