The Career Resetter is really great, and it made me think about a log that converts the song from a file into a Career Mod. You know, you select the number of tiers, their names and what song goes in each tier, and it do the whole thing... but I guess it will take a long time before someone make something like this. I would have done it myself but all my codding knowledge is about web-coding. :/

That would be incredibly useful. Someone already made a career template, but a program that did it for you would be very convenient.

Hey, is the Career Resetter included in the .rar when you download the mod ? I mean, that tool will follow us for a long time, unless a feature for resetting is included in the game (which I even doubt is possible), so that's something you should think about :p

Yep, gonna eventually figure out how to reset careers from the Options / Settings menu in FoF --- but it was MUCH quicker for me to toss it together in a VB app.

I might look into adding a career mode creator to the VB app, that's something I could do. :)

And I will include the Career Resetter app with the next major full release (3.000) but for the patches, nope.

it would be awsome to select your difficulty only once when you start a career.

I was thinking about multiple careers...and being able to name your career.

MFH, would this be possible? :)

Example:
Make a career and call it "Career1"
Have it ignore "scores =" in the song.ini
When you finish a song it would write the scores to "scores_career1 =" and "scores =" so that your scores will show in quickplay too.

If you make a second career...
Call it "career2"
Career2 will save scores to "scores_career2 =" and "scores =" in the song.ini
But it only reads the scores from "scores_career2 =" so you don't get your scores from the other career and quickplay showing up.
...the pain

Yes, that needs to be done as well - another restructuring of the menus just for career mode probably won't happen for the next patch though. I will eventually add the difficulty select as a career submenu before gameplay.

edit: naming / multiple careers in FoF is probably not coming anytime soon; hence the plans for a VB app / hack to accomplish the same thing (career backup / restore)

Just want to let everyone know I've also tossed a couple apps togethor in VB for use with this project.

Both links are available in my sig,

Song/Career INI Creator: pretty self explanitory, I setup career's for EVERYTHING in under an hour... 70k
Time Calculator: I created to aid me in solo detection; to add solo markers to my music (it does NOT add midi events, just used to convert time)... 7k

Let me know what you think! and if any files are missing, only one ocx should be needed for the career creator [comdlg32.ocx] which is bundled in the download.

:D

EDIT: WAIT I have to edit the links... Sorry!!

Edit: K links are updated... Enjoy

Also: Does anyone have the actual set list layout for GH1? Can't find a layout anywhere..
