Basically this is for all modders out there... but it concerns UCmod!

I'm tired as there are now about a houndreds of different thread with the UC mod stuff... half of them are GH and the other half RB. I don't know if these things has been made but I would REALLY like to have these things to UC, and I'm pretty sure someone could do them, but I can't I'm not a modder...

1) Set the fretboard to follow the beatlines, (meaning notes will follow the beatlines), this is in basic FoF, RFfof, Guitar Hero.. in every mod there is... why not here in UC? Can someone make them like they should be...

Wondering what's the difference...? Well the songs look so UGLY when you play them, like just random notes etc.

1.5) Maybe this should also make it abe to play with variable BPM? This is not able now... :(

2) Second, why are there tails after almost ALL notes? Not if it's an intense solo... but why? I want them removed, they also make the song very ugly! Where did they come from... no other mod has those weird tails after all notes...

3) And the last one, that I would like to see, wich hasn't really nothing to do with the game play, it's 2 player... (multiplayer). I know this is possible and all... not as important as the others!

-----------------------------------------------------------

If someone is able to do those things, then why not do it? I might even fret a song for you if you'd do something...and I would be glad! And I'm pretty sure many others will be too...

Cuz right now, it's ugly to play the songs cause of the beatlines and tails...

That's all! Thanks!!

We would need a coder right?

Also, how about coding something to get a new folder in the data folder for themes. So we could have multiple themes.

ex: someone made a Led Zeppelin theme Put it on the Theme folder, turn it on on the settings and then you play with that theme. It acts like a mod folder.

What do you mean... that he has done it, or is able to?

No. He is working on cleaning up the code and he has been commenting mainly in this thread

As for multiplayer, currently it does work, but if you use the GH3 mod, the rock meter covers player 2's fretboard. If you play with the rockband mod, there is no problem. I haven't tried it yet with regular FOF mode. The way to enable multiplayer is to edit the .ini file in %appdata%. Change "players = 1" to "players = 2" and then it will be enabled in the game, and you can choose to turn player 2 off after choosing your song.

BTW, thanks for all your fretting.

puppetz I am not sure about the UC mod for 1.2 but one thing I noticed with the beatlines is that the way Coffee has his neck type option in UC mod for 1.1 is that you can select GH3 or FoF. Selecting the GH3 style has a slightly narrower neck (i think) and loads the beatlines (which replace the bars) and centerlines (which replace the tracks) as images overtop of the neck. I am pretty sure if you select FoF neck style the bars and tracks would appear as they would in any other version of FoF. It should be possible to have a 2p mod in the mod folder just containing a a theme.ini (and any new images you would want) with repositioned meter data to get the meters moved to where they need to be for 2 player.

I know, but that isn't really the way it should be... and I suck with RB notes... :D

Just replace the notes with regular GH ones. That's all I did and I just change to RB mod whenever I need 2 player. It's not too much hassle.

Oh I never thougt of that! :p Well but anyhow, this 2p isn't the biggest consern... but still it should be fixed, with a "not so high" priority!

I know for sure if you want to have a folder for the themes, you'd have to edit all the files. What it uses is FOF is 0, GHIII is 1, RB is 2 for the themes and for each theme it has somethings set like
if self.theme == 0:
get crap ("filename")
elif self.theme == 1:
get crap ("GHIII\\filename")
elif self.theme == 2:
get crap ("RB\\filename")

and it's set up like that all the time.
If you wanted to add more themes you'd have to go in the code and add a 3 and a 4 and edit all the files, a real hassel. So what I would do is is replace this with i instead then put all of the variables like the placement of the words and pictures and rock meter in the theme so then when you have a new theme, it would take all this data from the theme.ini and use that for everything and since i is a variable that means you would have an unlimited amount of themes.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thing with the tails is it always draws them. Now a regular note has a bpm of 100, so if you set an if statement

if bpm>100
draw tail
end

Then when it's less than 100 it won't draw the tail.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thing is I'm all talk and no work so I can think up these things but can't implement them because I only know the basics and if I go messing with the code to this scale there would be a catastrophe.
