what do you mean "looks sweet" there isn't any screen shot just a photoshop redo of the old guitar hero.

not even photoshop, you could do that in paint. all it is is an inverted screenshot of guitar hero 2

there is absolutely no difference between this and guitar hero, just looks like a crappy copy of it. so no, it wouldn't

I wouldn't look too much into it. Companies register names of things that are reminiscent of the names their existing products all the time. Solely for the purpose of preventing other companies from using them.

however this was developed not by a company, but a fan for the fans, who wanted to make playing custom songs easy. Too bad kotaku blew it up as spyware and associated his old company with it. Anyway, this has been posted everywhere else, no need going into details. The download is out there on torrents, and while currently there is nothing official, there will be support by the fans.

Guitar Zero and Guitar Villain are two completely serperate entities. You seem to have them mixed up.
Its just like life. Quite interesting in parts, but no substitute for the real thing.
