Hi peepz!
You may be aware that these forums shut down for AGES a while ago. Well, a very nice person going by the username 'Weirdpeople' made a backup one. It has the potential to be a fantastic forum, but we need a ton of members. If you're interested in helping create this new community (Which already has a pretty hefty list of songs) then follow this link and mention that Chewybaco told you to come over :D

We're not competing with other forums, diversity is not a bad thing and the blogosphere is big enough for many forums/websites/blogs. "Advertising" a FretsOnFire/FoFiX forum or website is okay as long as it does not go too far. By not going too far I mean things like (but not limited to):

• don't bump your advertising topic unnecessarily
• don't put links to your forums/websites in every posts you make, it's pretentious and annoying (put a link in your signature instead)
• don't post songs in tune posting that requires members to register on your forums (use the wiki instead)
• don't "spam-attack" our boards (many here will remember this kind of attacks)
• do not insult or ridicule the members/staff/visitors of these boards in posts you make here (do what you want on your forums, we don't care)
• don't "steal" content/credits from members here. The least you can do is to ask them for their consent. If a member here complains this happened, there will be consequences on our side.

By the way, the opposite is also true, do not steal content/credits from other websites to post it here. We collaborate with the staff from other forums and websites to make sure credits go to people deserving them (for example, charts conversion from scorehero). If somebody complains that one of our member stole content from elsewhere, we will investigate and there again there will be consequences.
