How many players still use a keyboard?
Since both of my Xplorers broke (damn strumming switches!) I've had to use my keyboard. I've taken the liberty of making a sort of "custom" keyboard just for FOF (only my fret buttons, strum keys, OD/SP and killswitch buttons are there) and I'm actually starting to get use to it, the only real learning curve being speed picking. Out of curiosity, how many players prefer a keyboard over a guitar?
Re: How many players still use a keyboard?
I still do. I started play FoF with a keyboard and had never used a guitar until a few weeks ago on rockband, and I was terrible. So I just see no point in buying one.
Re: How many players still use a keyboard?
I prefer keyboard like a bassist, but now I have my favorite controller :
GH3 Les paul + 2 strumming switches from an old keyboard...(4 active strum fact)
I play with 3 fingers........For left handed

please consider the environment, do you really need to kill your planet ?

since my Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 2 X-plorer guitar and the bass pedal on my Rock Band drum set broke, i have been using the keyboard to play all instruments.

I still do. Can't get used to strumming on a guitarcontroller.

Re: How many players still use a keyboard?
This is the best controller. Ever. Why would anyone change from keyboard ever when things like this exist?
Flat keyboards are win:
- Possibility to slide your fingers on frets without lifting them, easier than on a guitar controller
- Fast picking is easier and quite possibly faster than on a guitar controller (no crap)
- Works perfectly as a keyboard! Try doing that with Xplorer!

Re: How many players still use a keyboard?
Kotti, I have to correct you there. MY keyboard is the ultimate keyboard. It's flat, small, and no space between F4 and F5;

I must admit, that looks even better. Mine only works perfectly when playing piano style, that works for both ways.
EDIT:

v That's good too.

Re: How many players still use a keyboard?
I use my laptop keyboard. I like how it feels when playing FoF. Besides, trying to lift a laptop and play at the same time would not end well.

Re: How many players still use a keyboard?
Well, I'm use to strumming on a guitar controller more, but I like the feel of a keyboard better. I've actually took the time to tape two screws to my strum buttons so that they serve as one big strummer (when I can upload a pic in a few minutes I'll show you all). Need I mention that it's basically silent and not as squishy as the RB strum?
Re: How many players still use a keyboard?
I still use a keyboard.
I am too lazy to come up with a decent signature. So if you are reading this, I'm not giving you any time of your life back.
