This nice compact program will AUTOMAGICALLY pick a random song from your song directory! Just put in the correct paths and hit the giant button!

This program requires R-F Mod 4.11 or later. It takes advantage of the command-line functionality to automatically start a song!

Wait, does FoF have to be loaded for it to work?

Sorry for Double Post

Already found a bug. (Yes, I am using RF Mod 4.11)

If your songs are in separate folders, it won't work.

Errr, huh?
It should look through your songs directory for any "song.ini" file and load from there. It searches recursively. My songs are separated into each GH game, then each venue. It works fine.

Are you still using the old hack where you put a song.ini with =FOLDER=? You don't need that anymore.

No, my setup is:

Songs > Folder 1
Songs > Folder 2
Songs > Folder 3
- etc, etc for 12 different folders.

Could you give me something more specific than that?
Like give me an example song.

Mine is "data\songs\Guitar Hero\1. Opening Licks\infected (contains song.ini)"

How is yours set up?

Did you set the correct paths at the top?
The Song Dir should end with "\songs" (no trailing backslash)

I found the problem.

When I clicked the button next to the "FoF song dir" it clicked the top one.
Don't know why.

But, I just typed it in manually.

I tried it, it still won't work. I hit "Click Me", then "Choose a Random Song" and nothing pops up.

Ah. Found the bug you're talking about. Fixing now.

Re-check your settings, make sure all the paths are correct.
FoF Directory should be the base directory (containing Fretsonfire.exe
FoF Executable should be ONLY the executable (usually just FretsOnFire.exe, and nothing else)
FoF Song Dir should be the full path, ending in "\songs"

I'll upload a quick "debug" version if it still doesn't work.

Found the error, possibly. I wasn't reading the correct Song directory.
