Controllers That Do/Don't Work With FoF - help expand the list...

what is the best choice, the GH Aerosmith Guitar (x360) , or the GH3 (X360) wireless.

I still don't get how you play with a wireless guitar.. "dongles"?

Microsoft released a wireless reciever dongle that plugs into a USB port and picks up wireless XBOX 360 controllers without needing any other software installed on XP-VISTA computers.

i am having the same problem with an x-plorer guitar, xp doesn't even aknowledge that it's plugged into any usb port, no ding ding when i plug it in, nothing in device manager, and i've tried this thing on 2 different towers and a laptop. 2 running vista and one running xp. no luck! any help would be greatly appreciated. i'm ready to give up soon

according to www.circuitcity.com there are 2 different x-plorer guitars! one is strictly for xbox360 and the other is for xbox360 and pc! can anyone else confirm this is true? they both look exactly the same but there is roughly a $15 price difference between the two of them!

TAC Double Range Flying V (PS2):
Tilt sensor does not respond.

Mine (it is the Double Range Flying V for PS2/PS3 http://www.theantcommandos.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=24&Itemid=38) works with tilt as long as it is set to PS3/RB mode (as opposed to PS2 or PS3/GH mode).

I have a les paul ps2 third party that works. Bought off ebay. has a solid white face, called smart guitar iii? black buttons, wireless, no fake volume knobs, removable neck. quality is ok,

ok so apparently there is a difference! the one from that has redoctane plastered on the front of it with the black packaging does not work! however the one from activision with slash on the front does! i just purchased the activision one from circuit city, pluged it in and windows recognize's it!

sorry to be the bearer of bad news for the people that bought x-plorers from redoctane.com but they just don't work! find the activision guitars! i bought mine for 19.99 usd

yes they do... with the custom xbox 360 drivers...

if you can point me in the direction of the custom drivers then i will gladly try them on all 3 computers again! the one from redoctane.com xp and vista both don't even aknowledge that it is plugged in to a usb port. no new device found wizard, nothing!

go to the microsoft website and download 360 controller drivers

i've done that with all 3 computers! it isn't a driver issue with the guitar, and i've tried it on a bunch of friends computers as well, nothing recognizes this thing except for an xbox360! works perfectly with it! windows just doesn't see that particular one when you plug it in

Guitar Hero world tour guitar and drums for the ps3 work perfect. I tested them out so yup yup

really?? I don't see why it wouldn't work. Were you using my script??

No I wasn't - not sure where I got the script that works for the GHIII controller, but it definitely doesn't work with the GHWT one. I've seen other posts around t'internet (including here I think) with other people having similar problems. I shall try your script though and report back.
