I saw keyboard, only because I've played with a Guitar twice.

Originally I would hold my keyboard like a guitar (ok, it looked more like an accordion), wrapping my left hand around it like a guitar neck frets `,1,2,3,4 and strum w/ my thumb on the numpad "+".

Then I bought the Radioshack PS2/USB converter and plugged in a RO Wireless...it's a whole new ballpark, er, sold out stadium!

Guitar trumps keyboard!

When i first started playing, i thought the keyboard was great. Then my bro bought a GH2 guitar & usb adapter, it felt more natural, but i thought the fret buttons were too far apart, i got used to it and got just as good as i did on the keyboard + better. But i would still got back to the keyboard for some songs, because the keys are smaller and a bit closer together = comfy on the hands.
So i thought why note get the best of both worlds and make a guitar with the buttons a bit smaller and closer together. So i did, in fact a lot of the longer standing guys here saw it finished. NOW THAT KICKS ASS, you get the same real'ish and cool as Funk feeling as you do from the GH guitar, but it is a hell of a lot easier on the hands AND easier to reach the 5th note.
My playing ability went up by at least 50% almost over night.
So i say Frankentar Kicks ass 1st, then GH guitar (of any type) 2nd, then keyboard 3rd and finally the worst controller to try and play FoF is. The microsoft IR Remote Control, the buttons are way too small :D

i think guitar gives the more realistic feeling and is fun so if its for fun i would go with guitar controller but if i want high scores and stuff i chose keyboard

i think keyboards easier, but guitar is more fun. i use the 360 explorer so the buttons are still relatively close together. although, strumming on the guitar is much easier (up and down)

Im used to the guitar controller from playing GH, but dont use it on FoF (I need to buy the atachment so i can hook it up since its a ps2 controller). I play much beter with controller, since the space between f4 and f5 messes me up.

I say controller FTW

Well considering I have a laptop :p I pretty much have to use the controller, although I would use it anyway. Controller is best for the actual guitar hero feel.

You could always use an external num-pad. I use one on my pc for multiplayer until I can get a frankentar of my own.

It really depends on the situation and song. I prefer keyboard for where there are a lot of Hopo's to be done, considerring the movement around the keyboard it slightly easier than the guitar. But overall, I would prefer the guitar better because keyboards aren't -technically- made for this sort of thing, so the actual guitar remote for Guitar Hero functions better.

im suprised to see that keyboard is actually losing
its alot easier but on the downside you cant always fret some notes unless you have a gaming keyboard
im planning on trying out a guitar with this game

Guitar- because with keyboard you can easily press like F7 instead of F6. Which is annoying. Plus i hit the escape button sometimes on the keyboard. Plus guitar makes you look less like a crazy person.

i just went to a game store to play gh2 on the 360 again.
i can perfect strutter at normal mode and 85%+ on hard mode (like one of the first times i try it on hard)
on fof with a keyboard its catastrophic... on easy (gh2 normal mode) i cant even have a 90% hit
so for me the gh2 controller owns the keyboard :p

edit: my problem with keyboard is that i cant be fast enough with it, it just feels wrong and unconfortable

anyway FoF is too unstable, i rarely can clear a song and actually not crash after it or while im playing
