Achives are already hosted on things like mediafire and rapidshare... the same for single songs... so we would only host large FINISHED projects, thus we wouldnt have people downloading new versions of anything either :)
I'm not sure if you understood what I meant, for example there's a difference between a torrent with
Career: example
- Tier 1/
- song1.rar aprox 5 mb each or so
- song2.rar
- song3.rar
- song4.rar
- encore.rar
- Tier 2/
- song1.rar
- song2.rar
- song3.rar
- song4.rar
- encore.rar
- Tier 3/
- song1.rar
- song2.rar
- song3.rar
- song4.rar
- encore.rar
etc
Or one with:
career: example.rar (aprox 200 mb)
Also how many times haven't one seen a 99.98% available torrent. If the folder structure is uploaded instead of one big archiveIt's a lot easier to find the missing piece of data. look around and download the one song that is not available in the network, via mediafire, rapidshare etc that might have it.
I do agree that it's mainly usable for larger release, although smaller packs might also be fairly good to torrent out, maybe. in worst case scenario, when songs are to be updated, there could be some sort of notes.mid where the fretter can update the file, and also point out the full address to it in a description text file within the torrent archive.
In any case. Go for it. It seems to be well recieved from what I can tell.

It's not like I dislike sleeping, I really do like it to be honest. It's the whole wake up/go to sleep business I don't like.
