Help

Postby anti-war94 » Wed Sep 15, 2010 4:04 pm

I download 20+ songs from FretsOnFireSongs.com
But they aren't showing up in the game?
Like, when I download from this website, it downloads a folder with all the content inside. But with this it just downloads one single file.
I was wondering if that had anything to do with it?
And is there anyway I can fix all these I downloaded to work in the game?

Because I download a ton of them and I really badly wanted to play them, and they're all songs that I can't find on this website, so I really need them to work.

Yeah, I was going to try before, but it doesn't say anything about extracting.
It's not even a folder. It's just one file.
And the little image for the files is in Black and White and I think it was 7 and then Z on it.

What's the extension of that file? If it's .exe but it has that icon, it sounds like a self-extracting 7zip executable. If it's .zip, .z, .gz, .7z, .rar or various other extensions, it's a compressed file.

Websites should not host compressed content as executable files, it's a bad habit. Try using a compression utility like WinRAR or 7zip to open the exe file, or if you're feel safe that it isn't a virus, go ahead an execute the file.
