guitar hero VS fret on fire - witch do you like better?

GH > FOF

GH = No errors, More in sync, guitar controller
FoF = Free + Free songs, but hell, if you buy GH for a modded PS2 you can mod GH. So the song benefit is lost.

u can also use your GH controller for FoF...

I think right now it's too early to tell

FoF still seems like it's in its early stages of development. GH is GH and will stay GH

FoF is open source and can be customized/changed/updated

it's like comparing stepmania to DDR - stepmania is a very mature program and can easily beat out DDR (free, custom songs, moddable - even ONLINE play)

after FoF matures a little bit I'll predict that it will own GH in every way, ever.

whammy bar defeats fof but custom songs and mod making defeats gh i dont know depends on what you like

i vote FoF, because not only can you have BOTH GH and GH II songs on it, you get different newer songs, and if you want to play with a guitar all you need is a 360 controller

I like Frets on Fire better because it's free, Guitar Hero 1,2 costs not so little. Frets On Fire is the best!! :laugh:

Guitar Hero is more polished, and is easier to start with. The timing on Frets on Fire also seems to be much tighter, resulting in a tougher game.

Frets on Fire is, naturally, free so you can't complain there. The use of a keyboard is cool, but the F4..F5 gap is annoying.

I'd say they're about equal - both have their good points, both have their bad. The only downside of Guitar Hero is the price to me.

I think FoF is better, because the unneccessary parts like concerts, career, characters, guitars, and whatnot are all removed.

I like both, because FoF is customisable and more exploited, but GH has (better) graphics, animations, easier to play...

For now, it's GH. +, with GH, you can customize songs- but you have to replace the song to customize it.
