With which Hit Window do you play & Which matches GH?

During the last couple weeks I've moved to expert and from standard hit-window to the tightest hit-window, believing this will improve my speed (I'm playing FoFix 3.100 with my keyboard in a guitar-style-grip).
I've read the consoles games have a tighter hit-window than FoF and people get worse after playing a while in FoF. Also, if you rock in tight you can rock at standard.
So- with which Hit Window do you play?
And most importantly- why? I'd love to read your hit-window-related insights.

Standard, because I like being able to complete songs without no fail on. Plus it's still a challenge.

Standard. I don't see a huge differance between FoFiX and Guitar Hero III's hit window.

If GH3 has the standard hit-window then it's pretty easy to be good and yet very inaccurate.

also- why is "standard" called that way then?

Because that is the FoF standard hit window. FoFiX isn't a GH/RB emulator, whatever it seems. It's still FoF, so it has its own hit window size. For GH1, 2 and RB the tighter settings are closer to the game. For GH3, standard is quite close imo.

is it more like tight or like tightest? there's a big difference between them. I'm pretty comfortable with both but HOPOs are much easier with tight.

Well...if you play, or have the opportunity to play, any of the GHs or RBs you just need to get the feel...as I've said, FoFiX is not an exact clone, so putting in exact hit windows to match GH1, 2, 3, and RB1, 2 isn't done. Just go for what you prefer.
