What programmes are needed!?

ok, big annoying dillema, please solve it for me! i have frets on fire, works wonderfully, except, i want new songs! saw all the lovely ones on this site, downloaded them, and it says programme needed to open this file!? i want frets on fire to open it so i can play! please help me!

ok now iv opened it with a rar programme and it comes up with a list of things, guitar.ogg, notes, rhythm ogg., song ini, and song ogg. i click in the ogg ones and it says this file does not have a file associated with it for performing this action/?

ok highlight all of those, and then click extract, extract it to fretsonfire/songs

if there is no folder in the rar that contains a base folder with the name on it then fretsonfire/songs/(songname)

you just create a folder in the frets on fire songs folder and put those files that are in the rar in the folder you just created....simple or not!!!??

ok done, but after it imports the selected guitar and background track, it still wants me to write how to play it, arent they supposed to be already made by the person who created it?

not how to play it! but the screen comes up that wants me 2 write the riff of notes or whatever to the song, and i thought that that would already be done?

omg omg omg omg...when you put that song in the folder like you did right ? then it should be ready...you don't need to import or something...damn i cant understand what you tried to do but when you extracted the rar into the songs folder...it's right away playable...

step by step

extract to songs folder--->open the game--->play...

its ok! you can show your sympathy by answering one more problem! they are there now, but when it says difficulty there are no settings, therefore i cant do anything but press control alt and delete....help? sorry lol

are you sure you extracted all the files from the rar??!!

{Edit} also do you have the latest version of Frets on Fire...there are some problems related having the old version of FoF...I can't be sure
