Also, it crashes when you try to paste something longer than allowed at the end of a song. I just reproduced this crash, I lost about 30 minutes of work... I'll have to save more often. Also, this might have been mentioned before, but when pasting notes that originally snapped to grid, some of the ...

Another minor glitch:

When seeking to quarter measures with ALT-Arrow in 1/10 view, the seek line will sometimes be 1 pixel off from lining up with the quarter measure line, but if I zoom in, it shows that I actually am perfectly lined up with it.

Memory usage without a song loaded (Windows): v1.1 RAM: 53.42MB Virtual RAM: 350.98MB v1.2 RAM: 21.28MB Virtual RAM: 318.22MB That's a savings of over 32MB, which is pretty good. The largest performance issues seems to be: *That it still eats enough CPU cycles to cause the song to occasionally stutt...

The up/down strum detection is an issue with the Windows driver for Xbox controllers. The 2 solutions are to use a modified driver that has been floating around in the forum or to use a 3rd party utility like XPadder to map the strum up and down to keyboard keys. And forgive me if I'm wrong, but bot...

Some initial feedback There are some nice editions to this version, however I've been starting to notice the delayed clap issue that some have mentioned in the previous version. This behavior is not completely consistent, but happens often when the song is played back at less than full speed. In a 1...

It's all a matter of how close the notes are to each other relative to the tempo of the song. The default tempo for a song in FE is different than the default for EOF. It's not under the control of either editing program as to where HOPO notes are placed, that is only ever determined by Frets on Fir...

Bug report (light version, RB theme) Occasionally FoF crashes on exit. This past time when it did on my PC, it left my display in 8 bit mode with explorer partially corrupted (context menus not working, etc). I had to kill all explorer.exe processes and then change my display settings to get back to...

Bug report: In the light version (single Rock Band Theme), it lets me map player 1 frets to a,s,d,f,spacebar. However only d and f work because the game fails to mention that the other keys are already mapped (a, s and space for drum keys). In fact, there doesn't seem to be any detection of keys map...

Believe me, there's no good reason to revert to FE after using EOF. I haven't heard of anybody making a tool that converts from MID to SNG, but if somebody is a programmer, they can probably alter the code for the SNG->MID script.

It would be. uBuntu will probably get all the drivers working out of the box. Windows 98 is end of life, and getting support for an EOL product isn't always easier than finding an alternative.

He already said that he wants a legit copy of Windows. But personally, I'd recommend a current Linux distro like uBuntu instead of Windows 98. Hardware support is much better and it's 100% free and very supported.

Suit yourself. What works for scores of people apparently doesn't work simply because you say so.

Regarding the clap, I noticed that if I have clap enabled and pause, it will sometimes clap when I un-pause it, even if it didn't just pass a note. Not a huge deal, just a bit strange.
