Ok, this has been fixed. I haven't seen this phpbb bug in like 5 years!

Re: Dead download links
Correct. If we hosted any of these files ourselves, this site would have been taken down long ago. I've seen about a dozen attempts at this over the years and they're all gone now. The charts could be stored in a manageable location though. For the most part, they're not copyright protected (or just...

Re: Frets on Fire 1.3.110
I'll believe it when I see it. There haven't been any code commits to FoFiX in months. Not talking about FoFiX, talking about the origional FoF. I posted a thread the other day of our plans for the game. The code has been uploaded to our github project organization. http://sourceforge.net/p/fretson...

Re: Rules for updateing other members work?
Just giving them credit in your forum post should be sufficient since the other member is inactive. If they were still active, I would say maybe ask their permission. If they said no, you could always release yours will just the rhythm and bass parts. Giving credit is important around here. We take ...

Re: Open Song Database
Hi kapec94. Sorry I didn't see your topic until now. I like your ideas and commend your motivation. Any efforts towards preserving the hard work of our charters would go a long way for the rest of the community. fretsonfire.org may or may not be able to handle the hosting of the chart files and the ...

Re: Your message contains to few characters?
I've seen that before with another users topic (see https://www.fretsonfire.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=56773). The difference is that his post has ~100,000 characters and yours has ~12,000. I figured the error was caused by some internal phpbb limit. The "too FEW characters" part ...

I'm afraid not. The only BBCodes that will hide other content are [spoiler], [collapse] and [collapseImg].

Re: Guests in Tune Posting and W.I.P?
Ahh, good eyes and good question. Those 2 represent (currently) Google and Bing bots. Don't worry though, because they don't collect the content of the pages within those forums. For example, Google gets triggered by AdSense when people visit the posts there, but the search bots get rejected when th...

Re: Can't have signature?
For the record, I believe it may have been part of our anti-spammer system. When you have less than 5 posts, posts containing links must be approved by a moderator. Since there's no approval process for signatures, it probably just spit back that vague error.

Re: Quote button gone again.
sorry for the bump but if you dont mind me asking what do you have to do to fix this issue lol I have to edit the imageset settings for the familiar theme and re-set them again. Oddly, it only happens with the "Localised buttons" and not the others. There's only about 25 of them, but it t...
