This is terrific! I was trying to find some information about anchoring notes, and thanks to that knowledge, the song I'm editing will have beats lined up accurately on the quarter measures. EOF really is the only tool that is necessary to make a quality fretted song. Thanks for the great tutorial!

I hate to ask for more, but would you be able to add more playback speed controls? I know it can be played back at half speed if you hit control+space, but is there a way to "sticky" the playback speed at 1/4 or 1/2 (like in Freetar Editor) so no modifier key is necessary with the space bar? With as...

Latest hotfix: Hotfix #7 - Link -- Post ****Fixed problem caused by hotfix 6, where certain chords after a tapped HOPO could not be strummed. ****Restructured the HOPO strum logic to accomodate the special checks necessary for the after-chord HOPO system I tried hotfix as the only patch to Alarian,...

I threw in another GB of memory in my computer and it runs quite a bit better for me now. Well enough that I'll finish my current song and start using EOF, because it's SO much better than Freetar Editor. Kudos, and I look forward to the next version!

I'm sorry to not have gotten around to posting a test midi before you posted a fix for the hopo-after-chord issue. I'll try it when I get home from work. Thanks a ton! Also, I was showing my friends the impressiveness that is the Alarian mod, and when I tried to point it to the songs folder inside a...

Thank you for this detailed after-chord-HOPO system bug report. Please, can you upload this test song you have made so that I might test with it? Then I might have a chance at figuring out what the problem is. Edit: I didn't realize you were saying you fretted a real song with this problem. Could y...

I ended up disabling hyperthreading on my PC, this isn't a good solution though. Hopefully they'll rewrite FoF to be multi-threaded in the future.

My favorite is probably The Slayers. I'm looking forward to them reviving it with a new TV series in the near future. But as far as less-comical anime goes, FMA probably gets my vote as 2nd favorite.

OK, so I didn't realize the RF-Mod was a full release instead of an add-on like most of the mods. Please forgive me. Installing the mod over FoF won't break the installation if the files are correctly extracted and in fact hasn't the many times I've done it. I didn't really say anything else wrong, ...

I don't know what to tell you. Those commercial applications had a team of paid developers. Frets on Fire is developed by people in their spare time that have to do other work to support themselves. Follow the wiki, there's not much else that can be done. FoF uses OpenGL (as opposed to DirectX, whic...

If you already disabled most/all visual effects, you can try the scaled-down version: https://www.fretsonfire.org/cgi-bin....edition Otherwise you can try what's listed in the Wiki: http://fretsonfire.wikidot.com/ If nothing helps, your computer might not have enough horsepower to run FoF, or you ha...

You'll want to get version 1.2.451, that's the most stable release and most of the mods are built for that version: http://sourceforge.net/project....=501448 Then just get RF-Mod: http://fretsonfire.wikidot.com/rf-mod Extract RF-Mod and copy the data and contrib folders along with the other files in...
