Re: i hate charting.

Ah yes, the ol' author's fatigue. There are some things I can share to hopefully help you and anyone else experiencing the tired feeling. Don't author a song for the sake of becoming "download famous". Songs should be made for other reasons. Don't let popularity/download amount/thanks/ect ...

Re: Song Clip Challenge

Haha, ok I'll make it easier. Two rules have been lifted. You can now guess as many times as you want, and you don't have to guess all five songs at once. If you know just one song you can guess it and I'll tell you if its right or not. You still have to have all five right in one post to win though...

Song Clip Challenge

Welcome! I've decided to start a new game with everyone. It's quite simple. I post a short clip containing 5 songs and you have to guess what each song is, in the correct order. Rules/Guidelines * The first person to correctly identify all five songs in one post will be the winner. * Only song title...

Re: A birthday and some renovations!

Here's an idea. What if FoF had a list of charters , sorted by reputation? Rep would pretty much be like karma, but only for people that chart. Whoever has more is higher up on the list. Sound good? No? Didn't think so. Could only work if everyone used it. And if that is based purely on the quality...

Re: Call for phpBB modifications to add

Thank You Feature

This was highly requested in the Survey Topic.

Topic Solved (Pretty sure we don't have this yet)

Could work well to help organize the tech support. May prevent members asking the same questions over and over as well.

Re: Call for phpBB modifications to add

Topic Age Warning displays a warning to members when they attempt to reply to a topic that has had no replies for a specified amount of time. Hopefully it would help cut down the amount of necroposts in the tune posting board. We already have a warning system in place for that. "You are attemp...

Re: Where's all us old members at?

Frankly what's everyone up to? Makin' music? Own a business? work in the games industry? have a fancy car? What is UP!? All of the above except for one. Don't quite have my own business yet, even though I ran one for years. (amak knows which one) Speaking of old jokes... Expecto Patronum...

Re: A forum survey

I started purging dead links from the "Drum Song Topic" sticky a while back. I believe I only made it to the A's though. If you would like, you could help in this process. Wiki access needs to be granted but I can ask nwru to set that up for you. Basically the plan is to remove all dead so...

Re: A forum survey

To be honest, I think that being able to like posts would be pretty cool. It would be great for song threads/W.I.P song packs, stuff like that, in my opinion anyway. Not that it's neccesary, I just think it'd be cool. Also, maybe a sub-board for charting stuff/ help? Again, not needed, but still, i...

Re: C3's question thread

Labels actually do give a slightest crap about it. Mash ups are a big thing in the remixing scene. As an example search Mashstix. The remixes themselves is not the issue though. The issue is when bands and labels see their precious master tracks being used outside of what they licensed them for. Lab...

Re: A forum survey

Raw multi track sharing is not to be done on this forum. The other issue at hand is off topic posts and "derailing" of topics. This should be addressed by a simple warning to remain on topic within the thread. General ignoring of anyone off topic should also cool off the members quickly, b...

Re: C3's question thread

I am not affiliated with C3. However I want to address a few of the questions from a different standpoint. I have worked many years within the music industry and the rhythm game industry. I know firsthand the importance of multitrack protection. 2. I don't get why labels, Harmonix or whatever can ge...

Re: A forum survey

The question now is how many trusted members can we gather to initiate a cleaning effort? This is far too much work for one or two of us to handle. However with enough help and support as a team we could have the tune posting section and the wiki cleaned to a decent amount. I will schedule a mini me...

Re: A forum survey

One other thing that id like to bring up is the fact that about half of the mods/moderators haven't even logged in since mid 2013 and some even earlier than that. I wouldn't necessarily say that they should be removed because they're some true legacy people for this game. Very, Very respected peopl...
