Re: FoF Lyric Converter 2.38 (100% success rate)

Thanks again and again for this. Issue: I had a midi of a rap song for Rock Band, complete in every sense other than all vocal notes were still pitched when they shouldn't be. I wanted to convert this to text to more easily add pitchlessness, and discovered that a conversion to ultrastar d...

Re: EOF 1.8RC3 - Now with Rocksmith export

How exactly would that be done? If it involves processing the dry vocal audio file, I probably won't have enough expertise to do it. If it only has to be close enough where I can fake it and generate it based on the contents of the MIDI, it could be a possibility. I'd need to know more about the mi...

Re: EOF 1.8RC3 - Now with Rocksmith export

I notice you've been implementing more and more RockBand-related features, and I wondered if you'd ever consider support for authoring Rock Band milo files. Lipsync for songs over 10 minutes in length is the one remaining gap to fully-featured RB3 customs.

Re: EOF 1.8b37 - Now with tempo map storage/export

If I understand correctly, you'd like an automated way for it to do this for each of those odd beats? Is there a purpose to do this except for a cosmetic reason? As you mention, this breaks the beat sync of the tempo map, and will make it odd to play even though all notes will retain their original...

Re: EOF 1.8b36 - Now with tempo map storage/export

I don't understand this request, could you mark up a picture or something demonstrating the problem to be solved? The problem to be solved can be demonstrated by a midi that has been halve-bpm'ed through EOF despite having odd numbers of beats to be dealt with... you end up with a file that is most...

Re: EOF 1.8b36 - Now with tempo map storage/export

thanks raynebc. :2thumbsup: "Halve BPM" will halve the number of beats until the next tempo change, except that if there were already an odd number of beats (ie. 3), the last beat before the tempo change is anchored and left as-is. Could an option be added to shift tempo changes to the nea...

Re: FoF Lyric Converter 2.37 (100% success rate)

Working, just needed the additional output parameter. I see where I was missing it in the readme file as well, now that I know what I was doing wrong. The line " For export formats that are MIDI based, such as MIDI or Vrhythm, if a source MIDI file is provided, the source MIDI's contents are co...

Re: FoF Lyric Converter 2.37 (100% success rate)

You're not required to provide any MIDI for this conversion except for the vocal rhythm MIDI. If you wanted to merge the lyrics with your completed chart, you'd want to do something like this: foflc -in vrhythm vocalnotes.mid vocals.txt -out midi notes.mid noteswithlyrics.mid The "notes.mid&qu...

Re: FoF Lyric Converter 2.37 (100% success rate)

I can't reproduce that. I used FoFLC 2.37 to import the vrhythm MIDI and pitched lyric file for "The Sound of Settling" and output to MIDI, and the created MIDI contains a track 0 (with a single tempo change of 120BPM). This is how it is designed to work: A generic tempo map is created un...

Re: FoF Lyric Converter 2.37 (100% success rate)

Attempting to use 2.37 to import an old vocal rhythm chart, but finding that the tempo map is dropped and the vocal track is the only track existing at all in the new midi, making the output useless. Digging through old hds for an old(er) version of this program unless anybody has a solution...........

Re: Song Fret Program??

There's definitely a right and a wrong result, but I don't think it's inaccurate to say there's no "right way". Most of us (me, for example) probably did make a first chart without properly beatsyncing, but I definitely don't recommend that approach. Options, in more detail: 1) traditional...

Re: Guitar Hero 2 Custom: help needed of people who've edite

Just to be clear (though you may have tried this), I was not asking if your original factory disc does this, but rather if it does it if you burn a copy of the original without making any modifications to the ark file. This would help to pinpoint where the error is coming into existence. Also, what ...
