Re: It's finally over!

Hey, I know you! Big fan of Yet Another Hero, downloaded a couple of the songs a little while ago, and they were great. Nice to see you back I guess.

Re: Frets On Fire C++ Clone

I'd like to see FoFiX in C++, since python is kinda heavy (as far as I'm aware). For now, I'll stick to FoFiX or Phase Shift, since they give me the functionality I need.

Re: Time Signatures: A very basic tutorial

That was an awesome tutorial. I've never seen text to speech used so effectively. Actually stating it was a robot was a good move, and nice choice of songs. I can see lots of people would find this tutorial useful.

Re: FoFIX Cymbals

World tour drums are terrible anyway. Particularly the bass pedal. How did you manage to come to that conclusion? I also had the WT drum kit, until I found out that the RB kit is vastly superior. I found the cymbals on the WT kit unresponsive, and the bass pedal didn't seem like a smooth motion, an...

Re: Sustain notes causing lag

I've heard that quite a lot of people have had trouble with the Windows 7 service pack. Until this gets fixed, why not try Phase Shift instead? (I don't work for dwsk) http://www.dwsk.com

Re: FoFIX Cymbals

There's no fofix add on, but you could try Phase Shift. It uses the same song files as FoFiX and has pro instruments (4,5 and 7 pad drums). http://www.dwsk.com

Re: Good charts for practising?

Try some songs from (Rock band) tiers 4 and 5. These songs are easy enough to play, but hard enough to be rewarding. Also, make sure you play songs you like and enjoy playing.

Re: Speed

The songs will load faster but there will be no considerable change in frame rate. If you want better frame rate, buy a better processor.

Re: 360 GHWT drums and wireless receiver

Well, Phase Shift (which is better than FoF IMO) has 4, 5 and 7 drum lane support. http://www.dwsk.co.uk/

However, it's not open source and is programmed with DirectX so no Mac or Linux compatibility.
