You need to download the tablature, its the best way. check here for a tutorial of how to make songs in FoF.

go into options... then song settings... then SONG folder... you can change the folder path there yes? yes you can, I have done it you can put your songs directory anywhere on your pc and you go in there and tell FoF where is it. Maybe he had no songs before system restore, hence FoF is now telling...

What happened is that when you restored your PC your game SETTINGS change, thats why the folder is still there with all your songs. You just have to go into Frets on Fire again and tell him where is your songs folder, so frets on fire can restore them again. If you dont know where to do this just po...

To respond to your second question. YES it will work, I have XP pro 64 bit and it works perfect, no problems at all. You just need to configure your keys in FoFix. And for the drum set I have no idea but soon you will get an answer trust me ;)
