Re: We lost one...

That really stinks. Sorry to hear about it.

I personally did not know him, but his charts were great!

Re: what's with the fretters?

Building off of what some have said (Maupy2 and Amak), in the olden days of FoF most of us were Expert players at GH/RB already and thus would only construct songs in that difficulty. Some of us just want to play the actual song. I still won't do lesser difficulties because it takes too much time to...

Re: fretsonfire.org Forums are back online!

I was initially taken aback by the new update, but I love the new look. MUCH easier on the eyes! I'm loving the quick access button for the Wiki, will be very useful! The only feature I previously liked that I couldn't immediately find was the "View your posts" thing, allowed me to vie...

Re: Feel like I'm late to the party

Not much we can do about that. Some of the major fretters from the Golden Age have either slowly faded from posting or just dropped off. There are some community projects that are keeping the old fretters around. But what people are focusing on in the game has definitely shifted. There are a lot mor...

Re: EOF 1.8RC9 - Now with Rocksmith 2014 support

I just started using the RC9 version of this today (upgraded from my RC6 version). The new playback speed thing takes some time getting used to, but after about a few minutes of using it. IT IS SO F***ING AWESOME. Although it lags a bit, I hear MUCH MORE clearly what the hell the song is doing. And ...

Re: EOF 1.8RC6 - Now with spectrogram

I requested for the "paste-where-cursor-is" with CTRL+V for Feedback controls. It would be nice for CTRL+V to snap to beatline when using Piano Roll, but please do not change ctrl+v for Feedback. I also noticed that CTRL+P does the same thing as ctrl+v (at least, in Feedback mode). It use...

Re: EOF 1.8RC6 - Now with spectrogram

I know that.
I've tried enabling and disabling Note Auto-Adjust. I hit Ctrl+V, and it just pasted at the seek position.

Re: EOF 1.8RC6 - Now with spectrogram

I don't know if it's a setting that's not on, but when I copypaste a set of notes in Piano roll mode, the pasted notes don't auto-adjust like they used to. Even with Note Auto-adjust on, I have to manually resnap them.

Now that is going to be incredibly awesome, adding full function of that will definitely create another dimension to many of our charts. I've been itching for this to be implemented in any of the open-source editors!

Re: TypeError when loading a song in practice mode

Alright then. I just need to notify the people who download my charts about the patch then... I don't understand it a bit though, because I did prodrums on another chart of mine, without other pro-instruments, and it works fine. EDIT: I actually have no clue where the patch goes either. EDIT2: I tri...

TypeError when loading a song in practice mode

There was a chart I created, Led Zeppelin Rock and Roll. This chart has regular guitar, bass, and drums, but also pro instruments for all three, including vocals. It was charted in EOF 1.8b36. There were practice sections added as well. When I try to play the song in quickplay it won't load at all. ...

Re: Downtime

For what had happened, it's incredible that a huge amount of the forum was saved. Some posts were reverted or gone, but nothing too dire. (There is still the "Request timed out" thing, not sure if it's just me) Amazing job on your part nwru for getting the site back online and keeping tabs...
