uh actually i searched for solutions but none of them really helped.... could you please eleborate... i deleted my old .ini in the application data folder but that didn't do anything

Ever since I installed the new version, when I try to use the alphabetizing shortcut (type-ahead find for song chooser), FoF crashes. it reads : "UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xe7 in position 21: ordinal not in range(128)" in the frestonfire.exe file. yeah i've tried most songs on easy and there pretty easy but when I go to some of the harder medium ones I die on them. I've been getting better but barely. guess I'll just keep trying

Oh and I really suck at this game... I've never played GH and I just can't seem to get a hold of some of the medium-hard songs. They seem to go way to fast and I'm struggling to maintain the tempo. I've read through some of the posts and I also seem to be getting the "string index out of range" error. I am positively sure that all my songs have a song.ini file. Is there anything else that might cause this problem? Btw I have like 200 songs and its sorta hard to organize
