Real Drums and FOFIX

Has anyone used the Mad Catz Midi adapter to connect their real drumset to FOFIX? Which version is needed (PS3, XBox, Wii)? How is your experience? Any lag issues?

Thanks

Re: LOTS O' LAG

What version of Python are you running? I found that 2.6 lagged my system, where 2.4 runs smoothly.

There are other tweaks (Turn off shaders, AA, etc.) in the options menu.

Great idea. I opened the notes in GIMP and lightened them. I also made a lighter background. Much better! Thanks!

Constructive Criticism: I tried this theme today with FOFIX 4.0.A. Way too dark. It was hard to see the notes and the bass drum beats looked too similar to the timing marks (on drums). It was also laggy at times. I tried different transparencies of all 3 of the 4X versions (colors). More work needs ...

FoFIX + EDrums

I am looking into hooking up an electronic drumset to play FoFIX. Would you recommend using a MIDI-USB connector: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Uno/reviews Or, will the Mad Catz MIDI adapter Pro work fine: http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Rock-Band-MIDI-PRO-3/dp/B0042B3EOM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UT...

Re: Repair for the rockpedal.

I'd say as long as you can detach the magnetic switch underneath the Rockpedal and re-attach it to another, ANY pedal should work.

I'm worried now because my Rockpedal is over a year old. How rough were you on it?

Re: Ideas for the next FoFiX

A "free" drum practice session like in Rockband 2. You can choose between different sounding kits and just bang away without a song track.

And some lag fixes.

"Next time, use the ESC button." FTFY

Good to hear there is a playable version. Maybe 4.0 comes for Christmas :D

Song preview is available already.

I don't care much about those frills. I just want a laggy free experience.

Re: Get Red Orchestra For Free!

Also, how is it even though you are unable to play it right now? I still haven't downloaded it... Not too bad, especially for free. It is Russians VS Germans. Once you get it, there is also a FREE mod called Darkest Hour which puts the Allies (US and British) in the campaign. The graphics aren't gr...
