Re: A New FoF Game
Anyway, as suggested, use SDL and try to use as much code from FoF as possible instead of reinventing the wheel. I really wish you the best of luck with this, but remember that this is not a one month project we're talking about! Thanks to everyone for the support, i am working on it this second, i...

Re: Just an idea I had...
Obviously you don't know where I'm coming from either... What I'm saying is that the utility would combine the notes file, song.ini file, and song.ogg file into one file, with the file extension .fof. It would be like adding files to an archive, only with a stand-alone utility that won't be able to...

Re: Just an idea I had...
I think the best part about it is that it might help to eliminate (or reduce) piracy issues. What I mean by that is that with the current format we have, you could download a fretted song, take the song.ogg and convert it to mp3 format, thus making it pirated and therefore illegal (unless you alrea...

Re: Just an idea I had...
I was in the shower (LOL) and I had a pretty interesting idea. Now, I don't know if this is entirely possible, but hear me out. What if we took the files that were in a song folder (guitar.ogg, song.ogg, song.ini, etc.) and merged them into one file (*name*.fof, for example) so we could just upload...

Re: Visual C++ Runtime Library error :(
Well I'm not exactly sure what the problem is but you should head over to the FoFiX site and talk to one of the developers about it or something... that's really strange cuz FoFiX isn't even notorious for having that problem..... Good luck and sorry I couldn't help more!

Re: Visual C++ Runtime Library error :(
Actually, that's not really noobish at all... I give you credit for actually looking for a fix to your problem before creating a new topic.... Anyways..... my only suggestion to you is to delete all versions of Frets On Fire you have and re-download the new FoFiX... if that doesn't work, I'm not exa...
