Re: Drum Charting Guide For Beginners and Experts

Old thread, but in case anybody was still stuck on this, Phase Shift (at least at the time) only supported hi hat and rim shot notations defined in the PART REAL_DRUMS_PS track. Check EOF's manual (Help>Manual>Menu functions>Note>Drum) for details on this.

Re: ZSonicMaster's Complete Guide to Song Creation Using EOF

Not all games support forced HOPO or forced strum notation. Phase Shift should. FoFiX and Frets on Fire probably not.

Re: EOF 1.8RC12 - Now with Rocksmith 2014 support

New hotfix is up. Changes are as follows: *Updated array.txt import to support explicit HOPO markers instead of threshold based HOPO by making "HOPO" the first line of the array.txt file, and by putting the letter H in front of the relevant notes' gem lane encoding. *Improved LRC import to...

Re: EOF, Sustained notes?

I suspect they might (since this was common in keys and pro keys), but the real test would be to try it out.

Re: EOF, Sustained notes?

You can try it, but I can't guarantee Phase Shift supports that. I added the functionality specifically for Clone Hero.

Re: EOF, Sustained notes?

As mentioned, EOF has a dedicated "disjoint" status that lets you alter each note in a chord individually (ie. different lengths). Just update to the latest hotfix and you should be able to use it. Once you apply disjoint status to a chord, you can mouse over whichever gem in a chord you w...

Re: EOF 1.8RC12 - Now with Rocksmith 2014 support

New hotfix is up. Changes are as follows: *Updated Queen Bee imports to warn that GH instrument notes can't be imported when a pro guitar or vocal track is active. *Improved the vocal track rendering so that the piano keyboard on the left edge of the piano roll will better scale up in height when a ...

Re: EOF 1.8RC12 - Now with Rocksmith 2014 support

Please provide the project file and cite the timestamps of some of the affected drum notes. Then I can verify whether it's a problem with EOF or not.

Re: EOF 1.8RC12 - Now with Rocksmith 2014 support

Harmonies wouldn't affect it. Please confirm which game is having these issues (ie. Phase Shift). Is EOF showing the expected notes as cymbals when you import the MIDI back into EOF, and it's just that the game is showing them incorrectly? There have been some bugs like this with Phase Shift, especi...

Re: EOF 1.8RC12 - Now with Rocksmith 2014 support

If you have any reason to believe the MIDI is wrong, you can send it and the project file my way and I'll check it out. Clone Hero is going to have drum support in the foreseeable future, so it will become a good second opinion.

Re: EOF 1.8RC12 - Now with Rocksmith 2014 support

The general rule is to import the MIDI back into EOF and if it looks correct, the MIDI is likely correct. If that's in doubt, you can always send me the project file and the timestamp that is in question and I can examine the MIDI that gets created.

Re: EOF 1.8RC12 - Now with Rocksmith 2014 support

Make sure you're altering the correct drum track, there are two of them accessible in EOF. By "the other cymbals" are you saying other blue cymbal notes are showing up as intended or that all blue cymbals are failing to work and only yellow and green cymbals appear as cymbals in-game?

You must have a project open in order to use that import function because it imports into the active track.
