Re: Must-have apps?

I have HTC Desire Z and some apps that I frequently use: Alarmdroid - Alarm clock doesn't get any better than this Dolphin browser HD - In my opinion better than the stock browser Handcent Sms - Better than the stock sms software Ebuddy - one of the best messenger apps Task killer - Not really requi...

Re: Vidya cards

Hmmhmm this is a tricky situation. It's hard to say for certain what will happen if the wattage (or current) is exceeded. It'll heat up that's for sure, like if you hook an ac adapter to a laptop that cannot provide the required current it'll heat up. However quality psu's, like yours, should have f...

Re: Vidya cards

Fans slowing down because lack of power is unlikely. A normal 80mm fan usually needs ~1A and if graphic card fans run at 12 volts then that's ~12 watts which is irrelevant to the amount the card itself requires. Now your system would probably do fine until you run some intensive benchmark or game, w...

Re: Looking for a new GPU

Well it's matter of perspective, for me 6870 is a budget card. Also Amd's numbering is all ducked up, for example 5870, 5970 and depending on test setup 5850 outperform 6870. And of course 6950, 6970 and 6990 are far superior.

Oh well, I guess "given that" would've fit better.

Re: Looking for a new GPU

I'm selling my old card, Radeon HD4850 with 1gb memory and I must say that's a pretty good card, with a sufficient processor it can run many new games on medium settings. My new card is Radeon HD 6870. It cost me 190€ (still a budget card, nowhere close to high-end cards) and it can run crysis smooth...

You'll be highly disappointed. Crysis 2 is a terribad Call of Duty clone.

So I've heard. Kinda sad, both Crysises were surprisingly good despite some flaws in the first one.

Ratchet and Clank 1-3 are awesome, 3 is my personal favorite. They're pretty lengthy as well if you want to unlock everything.

Re: Lengthy but Good Games for PS3/2

I must admit SotC was pretty bad fps-wise, but I've played new games on old machines almost my whole life so I'm kind of used to low frame-rates.
Also you got to remember the beautiful landscape, it's pretty impressive even with ps2's limitations.

And the music...

I second that, not the lengthiest game in the world but holy hell I sh*t my pants the whole first playthrough. The most awesome gaming experience I've ever had.

get a disk. Borderlands is a great game, when I played it though I had the problem of levelling up too fast, making everything too easy. I don't know if the game has been tweaked since
